It's almost officially summer, and with all the things we love about it, it also brings stinging insects.

Piper Vet patient, Foobie, found this out first hand 😲 And no, Foobie is not a shar-pei, he's a boxer with a swollen face from an allergic reaction.

Luckily the owner called us right away and we were able to get him in and get some meds on board to help bring down the swelling.

Dr. Kwong is interested in client education, preventative care, and ophthalmology, and is also passionate about increasing accessibility to healthcare and medical education. 🏥 When she's not at the clinic, you can find her spending time with her cat, Sashimi, or reading and playing video and board games. 🎮 Dr. Kwong officially joins our team on Feb. 20 and we can't wait for you to meet her! 💚

Suzanne has a great first visit! Looking forward to seeing her grow up. The sign was something new, so of course, she had to give it a good sniff!

At this visit, we checked out all her puppy parts, started her first round of vaccines to keep her protected and stocked her up on monthly Heartworm and Flea and Tick Prevention (which is important to do even in these cold winter months 😉)

We will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We are open Saturday from 8am-12pm to answer phones and for approved medication pick ups. There will not be a doctor in the building, so we will not be able to fill meds that have not already been approved by a doctor, or see patients.

With this in mind, please let us know as soon as possible for any prescription or food requests and we will do our best to fill them before the holiday or for pickup on Saturday.

In the event of an emergency please call Quakertown Veterinary Clinic or Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Center.

We will reopen Monday with normal business hours.

Found puppy. Black lab, less than 6 months old, maybe 4-5 months old. Male, not neutered. Super sweet. Small scar below right eye. Found in Kutztown. Please call us at Piper Vet 215-766-0388 with any information.
