Who rescued who?
My love for dogs started at a young age.
I remember a puppy jumping up onto my lap, and within minutes fell right to sleep.
I felt honored to have been his choice for being the safe and cozy bed we all long for at the end of the day.
As a teenager my love only grew stronger.
I spent many summer days caring for my extended family’s dogs while away on vacation.
We would run around the yard, play with chew toys, and soak up the summer sun.
A few months before my senior year of high school, I swore into the United States Army.
I was given the opportunity to be a military dog handler!
However, I decided to go with a military occupation specialty that provided me with more flexibility for my future.
Nevertheless, the love in my heart for dogs never fell far from the leash.
When I returned home from training, I began my path as a college student.
While living the college life I came to a realization there was a piece to my heart that was missing.
I found that piece about a year later at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
An eight-year-old, German shepherd/Rottweiler mix, named Sheldon.
Sheldon left an everlasting paw print on my heart, and we have been inseparable since that day forward.
My little angel helped me realize that my passion and purpose in life is, and in a way always has been, working with dogs, and I would love to share that passion with you and your doggy companions.
Therefore, I present to you Pittsburgh’s around the clock dog service, Bark-O’Clock.
No matter if it is nine o'clock in the morning or bark-o’clock at night we will walk your block!
