I sprayed the honeysuckle down earlier this season when the aphids first appeared. No sign of them now. 😀

Peaches are ripening in the orchard. Grapes on the vine too.

Checked Hive #1 yesterday lots of burr comb full of honey and brood. Alot of keepers remove burr but in this case I chose to leave it. Bees are working hard to store up for winter.

Checked on both hives yesterday - lots of excess honey being stored in the supers. Excited for harvest in a few months! 🍯

Good news - both hives had empty queen cages! Lots of activity in both as well.

The extra comb your seeing on the side of the frames is called "burr comb" and the bees build it wherever there is too much space.

Introducing new queens to both hives. The workers will eventually eat through the candy and release her. Hoping all goes well. 🐝
