Let's work together to ensure we keep Clallam County pets happy, healthy AND safe! Starting tomorrow, Wednesday July 17th we will be offering our community 50% off microchip implantation and getting fully registered. These microchips also include temperature gauges (no more thermometers!). You do not have to be an active client to participate in this sale but please call or book online to schedule an appointment. We can do this type of appointment during an exam with a veterinarian or just a quick appointment with a technician. Sale ends August 30th, 2024.

We have also equipped our front desk with a microchip scanner. If you have found a lost pet please feel free to just stop by and we can assist you in trying to find that lost pets home.🐾

UPDATE 7/23/2024- As of this morning CDC stating CVI and/or USDA issued Rabies Certificate no longer required!

🚨 Important Update for Dogs Entering the USA 🚨

We know how fun it is to take the Black Ball Ferry across to Canada for a little vacation. If you are bringing your dog with you need or planning to pick up a puppy from Canada or another country you need to be informed about the recent changes in the CDC's regulations for bringing dogs into the USA. 🐾

Starting August 1st, 2024, the CDC has implemented new rules for dogs entering or re entry to the USA. Here are the key points if bringing your pet from a low risk country such as Canada or Mexico:

▪️ Dog is at least 6 months of age
▪️ Microchip: All dogs entering the USA must be microchipped for identification purposes. The microchip should be ISO-compliant. This microchip must be placed prior to a Rabies Vaccination.
▪️ Rabies Vaccination: Dogs must have a valid rabies vaccination from a veterinarian. For first time rabies vaccines there must be a waiting period of 28 days after vaccination before entry.

One of these forms:
▪️ Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI): A health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian, stating that your dog is in good health and free from contagious diseases, is mandatory.
OR
▪️ Certificate of US administered Rabies endorsed by USDA

These new rules are difficult to navigate, so we recommend making an appointment with your veterinarian to discuss any future travel plans to our friends across the water!
