To Camp We Go! Remember its quiet time until July for public land. There is a reason for quiet time (dogs must be leashed on public land no free for all) for a reason. Wildlife (birds are definitely nesting) need time to breed and raise their young without extra nuisance and stress. Even at camp I try my best to keep the dogs from bothering nesting birds. After a woodcock find and a wild grouse flush from the trail it was time to get back to camp and to the road coming into camp to stretch the dogs legs to keep things quiet for the birds.
