Oak Hall Farm

This time of year the hens go broody. These two are doubling up on this space even though I have more than a dozen nesting boxes for them!

The girls soaking up the Sun instead of rain!!

Chloe found something living in the manure pile. She found the entrance and escape holes then excavated both of them. She jumped from one to the other in case it ran out. She dug so deeply that a third of her body disappeared inside the opening. She’s such an amazing farm dog!

Fable didn’t go swimming today, but he did take some time to splash around. Of course I had just finished grooming him and putting on fresh fly spray! When he was done cooking off he came out and rolled. So much for my grooming job!

Fable was so happy to see me today! I got there just in time to see him roll after his Daily swim. He literally swims around the pond and doesn’t just stand and splash! I’ve been trying to catch him on video since it got warm. After his roll I called him. He came galloping up. Judi’s dogs like to chase around after him. He’s always tolerant, but I worry about them accidentally getting rolled under him and trampled. Watching his lust for life makes me so happy!
