We would like to take a moment to thank each of our clients and patients for being a part of our clinic. We could not have achieved this award without your support and love for our staff! We thank our staff for their hard work and dedication for our clinic and our patients!

Our receptionists continue to work hard to ensure all communications are being done quickly and efficiently. Our technicians work hard to get all information from clients to brief Doctor and help assist in an array of medical procedures. Our boarding staff has formed a clean and friendly facility to ensure your pets have a wonderful stay. Our Office Manager has been revising and reforming this clinic to be the absolute best it can be. And our amazing Doctor has worked extra hard to ensure your pets are receiving the absolute best care in the Quincy area.

Thank you Four Paws staff and all of our clients/patients for this award!🧡

The Quincy Humane Society and Four Paws are teaming up in the near future!

Dr. Tricia will begin to perform the spays/neuters that are needed at the Quincy Humane Society. These surgeries will take place on Monday and Friday mornings. Dr. Tricia's regularly scheduled surgeries will be performed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Therefore, only our afternoons will be available for appointments for exams/medications. Technician appointments are available mornings and afternoons. We will be able to do Drop-Off's Monday-Friday mornings for our routine services.

A drop-off is when you leave your pet in our care to perform the services when we are able to. They will be done in between surgeries; therefore, you do not stay with your pet(s) during this service, but rather leave them in our care until the service has been completed. Then you will receive a phone call when ready for pick up as well as any instructions needed for at-home care.

Thank you for your understanding!

GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING:
Spaying your animals does more than you may believe. It can actually save your pets life once they are older!

Typically dogs, unspayed, between ages of 6-10 are the ones to develop a pyometra. A pyometra is a painful and extremely long recovery for your pet. Typically the first signs are a darker discharge coming out of their v***a after their heat cycle. This discharge is thick and extremly odorous.

Doctor Tricia recently spayed and removed the uterus of a 70lb dog who had an extremely swollen uterus filled with infection. The uterus totaled to almost 5lbs when it should be closer to 0.5lbs. If you are interested in learning more about the importance of spaying and neutering your animals, please check out the article below for more information!

Our Office Manager, Evelyn Garrett, paired up with JWCC to set up a class with a group of students to learn about our Veterinary Practice. Miss Evelyn went over safety procedures, our values, and our overall goal as a clinic. Each student has completed their "training" today!

We at Four Paws would like to thank JWCC for organizing this with us! 🐾

Have you ever let your pets play with sticks? Let them run around and chase each other with them? BE CAUTIOUS!

Today we had a 1 year old dog come in with a lodged wood chip (from part of a stick) in his throat. This can happen to any dog playing/chewing on sticks and is quite common. Please be cautious of what you let your pets chew on!

Consent was given by owners to post this content as it is important to educate pet owners on the safety of their pets.

Today is Cat World Domination Day!

Speaking of cats, did you know Four Paws has 6 clinic cats? Each kitty has their own special personality and has their own job at the clinic!

Noxie helps us restart our computers almost every morning. Gracie makes sure our boxes can fit different items and she monitors our boarding girls to make sure they are working ;). Patches monitors our breakroom. PK monitors Bobbette in grooming and makes sure she's doing a good job. Delilah tests the towels after them come out of the dryer. Lastly, Achilles is our greeter! He makes sure to welcome everyone into the clinic🐈🥰

About Us

In September 2014, Dr. Tricia Crist founded Four Paws Veterinary Clinic and opened the doors as a multi-service veterinary practice offering compassionate care to both owners and their pets. While originally founded as a small animal practice, with growth comes change and in August 2020 Dr. Dallas Duncan-Klauser joined the team, bringing with her years of large animal experience. This change allowed us to offer services to large animals that don't have paws. Therefore, we decided to change our name and logo to better reflect our practice and on August 3, 2020 we became Four Paws and Hooves Veterinary Clinic.

Whether you are coming in to our clinic or we are going to you on the farm, you are a part of our family and our foremost concern is your pet's and/or your farm's well-being.

Our practice may be different from what you are accustomed to. Our goal is to provide exceptional care at affordable prices, meaning you will no longer have to sacrifice quality care for the well-being of your furry family member! And this holds true for livestock as well; we understand that your herd is your livelihood and by providing exceptional care at affordable prices, you are able to increase your profit margins.

In addition to our medical practice Four Paws and Hooves Veterinary Clinic is an active part of the community and offers educational sessions, pet loss support, pet boarding, grooming, daycare, and will soon have an indoor dog park.
