The first Wednesday of every month is cat grooming day! No dogs will be in the grooming room not even for nail trims. It starts this Wednesday Oct 5th! Make your appointment today! 🐈‍⬛✂️

With Christmas coming around the corner, we have booked up fast! We have a few spots left for bath dogs, (labs, beagles, chihuahuas, thin coated dogs, etc.) We also have available nail trim appointments during the week, as well as walk in nail trims on Sundays. We hope everyone is staying healthy and happy during these times! It’s been a while since we have posted updates on our grooming page, so I wanted to put out some updates from the past few weeks.

One of our groomers, Sarah, has resigned and is going to school to begin her new career. We are so happy and excited for her!!
With that being said, we are now down to 2 groomers, so we are booking out about a month for weekday appointments and well over a month for our Saturday appts.

We have a new phone system and have a voicemail in place, which is super helpful considering most days we do not have an assistant to answer the phone for us. If you leave us a message, please understand we are incredibly busy and we are doing our best to keep up🙂 If you haven’t received a call back from us within 2 business days, don’t hesitate to reach out again.

We are not accepting new clients, and unfortunately we are most likely will not accept new clients until we are able to find another groomer.

HUGE thank you to our clients for their patience, kindness and understanding during these times! Please feel free to leave us a review under our grooming page and share your experience with our grooming staff.

Good Morning! As of next week Monday, Havahart Grooming will be reopened! Yay! We temporarily will not be providing walk in services, but we are scheduling appointments for nailtrims and a**l gland expression. Please give us a call next week if youd like to set up an appointment for nail trimming or a**l gland expression.

As for scheduling for grooming, we have many clients to call back yet. We greatly appreciate your patience while we try to catch up and get everyone in as soon as we are able to. We are currently only scheduling clients who are on our list that were cancelled in the past few weeks.

For all appointments, we are required to do curbside drop off and pick up. We will use our own leash, and have you keep your pet's leash and collar.

Lastly, please be aware we will not be opening the grooming door that is on the inside of the store. If you need to speak to a groomer, please give grooming a call. (262) 886-3440.

At this point the earliest the grooming room will open is June 1st. Please understand they will err on the side of caution as they do not want to risk themselves or their families. Please refrain from calling as we have no other information at this time and are not scheduling any appts for June. We apologize for any inconvenience! Please share!

To our Havahart Grooming Clients,
We hope everyone is staying safe as well as sane during these times. As most of you know, Ever's released a new bill that allows dog groomers to reopen under strict guidelines beginning Wednesday, April 29th. We know that so many of your pets are in desperate need of grooming, and we know it must be incredibly frustrating to not know when you will be able to get your dog(s) groomed again at Havahart. The groomers at Havahart Pets have made the very difficult decision to remain closed until the original order's date which was on May 26th. With so many variables, the health and safety of both our groomers and our clients is our top priority. We feel at this time we cannot ensure that. We rely on guidance from the CDC, the American Veterinary Association, the Department of Human Services, and our own experiences and knowledge within the grooming community. We know this is frustrating and we eagerly look forward to helping our furry clients look, feel, and smell better. We take information as it comes in daily into consideration and will update here as soon as we have any changes or plans to reopen before May 26. Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times.

Considering grooming will be closed until April 24th, if not later depending on the stay at home order, we know your dogs still need their nails trimmed and some of you will attempt clipping them at home. Here are some tips when cutting nails. Please feel free to share, or ask any questions.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the temporary closing of Havahart Grooming during this Covid-19 outbreak.
(The store itself still remains open!)

It was a difficult decision to make as the wellbeing and comfortability of our clients is extremely important to all of us at Havahart.

We are still working on making calls to cancel all appointments for the next few weeks. We will reevaluate and re-open based on national recommedations.

As this was an unprecedented situation, we kindly ask for your patience in rescheduling. We may not be able to accommodate your dog in a timely manner as we were already beginning to book out in advance into Spring. We will be in touch in a few weeks for those who need to reschedule. If you already have another appointment scheduled for the future, we will pick up from there situation permits.

Thank you so much for your kind words, encouragement, and understanding! We are all in this together and will prevail. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Stay well and healthy my friends!❤🐕

Welcome, December! Our groomers are hard at work and trying their very best to get our clients in as timely of a manner as possible. We appreciate the patience of our clients! Keep in mind with it being near the holidays, appointments before Christmas are booking up fast. Please call soon if you would like an appointment before Christmas, and we will try our best to accommodate you.

P.S. We have christmas bows, and will be offering holiday bandanas soon. Please feel free to ask if you would like one on your pet or on their collar, no extra charge🐾🎄

We would love to find an animal lover to hire as our grooming assistant. Part time, flexible hours. Experience not required. Must love animals and have patience as well as provide excellent costumer service. A few duties include bathing and drying dogs, scheduling appointments, and our daily cleaning routine.

Havahart grooming will no longer be accepting cats for grooming. We will still do nailtrims and sanitary shavings as a walk in service, but we will no longer be scheduling them for full grooms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we will refer you to the other cat groomers in the Racine area. Thank you.

Bathroom breaks are already brutal and getting much worse as temperatures plummet. 🥶 If you can find straw at a local farm or garden supply store, now would be a good time to snag a bale. A little goes a long way when spread in a small area of your yard. It can preserve your pup’s paws for a few valuable extra minutes during these dangerous temps, then covers any mud in the spring thaw! Remember 📣 these weather conditions can be lethal within minutes; please ensure your pets are safely inside and only go out long enough to relieve themselves. Stay warm, friends!

Happy thanksgiving, all! We hope you are all enjoying your Thanksgiving so far. Just a few thinks we’d like to make aware to our costumers. We are officially in the “Holliday Season” so please be aware this is the time we typically get quite busy. Keep in mind our groomer/ grooming manager Christina is pregnant, [Due in April,] and is limited to how many dogs she can do. Our other groom Courtney is taking her schedule day by day as she has private family matters to tend to. That being said, we may begin to start booking out again. Keep this in mind for the holidays and try to remember to book appointments in advance. We appreciate your understanding and patience, and again we hope you all have a lovely thanksgiving🙂

Attention all grooming clients: please be aware one of our groomers are pregnant, so she can no longer handle cats or trim their nails. When calling to ask what time we will be here for nails, please specify if you have a cat. We absolutely dread having to turn clients away when we know it is a hassle getting cats into kennels and driving them here. Thank you!
