Sherie was found wandering alone, limping on a badly injured leg. Though we can't know for sure, it appeared she had been hit by a car and was in need of immediate care. She had to first recover from a respiratory infection before she was stable enough for surgery, then underwent amputation to remove the leg that was beyond repair. Despite all she's been through, Sherie has not held back her sweet side and soaks up every ounce of attention she gets from our staff. She's been in our care for nearly a month now, with more recovery time still ahead of her, but Sherie's adaptation to life on three legs has been remarkable and inspiring.

Does anyone know where you can get some of the only Home Made Jams, Salsas, and Pickled items...Pie Fillings.. (made by a real person, without machines). She has really great Chocolates from David Bradley Chocolatier AND an Incredible Gift Shop? Hint, How about West Racine.....Let's narrow it down....Annie's Country Pantry!! We are located at 3212 Washington Avenue...Let's toss out a few more small businesses...How about 3 Doors West of "the ONE AND ONLY Bendstens Bakery !! We are right next door to THE Nissi Bakery where both bakeries and Annie's Country Pantry use "old world....family recipes"......
Wow, THAT SEEMS TO BE A THEME.....3 stores on the same block to get REAL food..., made the old-fashioned way......and if you are bored, have a few minutes...stop in at Bob the Barber Shop across the street......This guy, Bob, he's been around, in business, same location for just a year shy of my birth year, which makes in 58 years!! (Never guess it because Bob looks all of 63...so either he was a child when he started or this guy is as spry as I wish I were!!! Shop Local, Shop Today, Shop Soon....but please, shop BIG at some Small Shops....
