At the last bird dog club meeting my role in putting on the snake avoidance clinic was questioned and I was asked to submit a proposal to be voted on to justify my work and compensation. I was told others can do what I do for the club and this needs to be handled like a business. I've thought about this. I spend hundreds of hours organizing, answering inquiries, and signing up owners and their dogs for this important training and conducting this training. I've had numerous requests to provide this training for other organizations and groups. Approaching this as a business decision I have decided that I will be putting on rattlesnake avoidance clinics as Stills Kennels and will not be submitting a proposal to the Western South Dakota Bird dog club to run their clinic. I have been generous with my time and expertise in the past but feel it is no longer valued. Time to move on.

Rocky is six months old today. This was his first live bird find. He stopped and pointed on his own and held it.

Belle finished strong in the dock diving competition this weekend. She placed second in the master class with a jump of 21 feet. Not bad for her first time out. Thank you K9 STAC for putting on this fun event.

Day one of Belle's dock diving career and she started with a bang. Her best jump was 21 feet that puts her in the master class. Great way to start. Looking forward to more fun tomorrow.

Rocky is wearing his big dog collar now. He is 4 1/2 months old now and weighs about 35 lbs.

Chance is going onto law enforcement. He is being trained as a detection dog and when fully trained will go to a handler as a drug detection dog.

Rocky got his first chance to show his stuff in the confirmation ring. He earned a group 1 as beginner puppy. He is just 4months and 3 days old.

We have a situation. We have placed 10 out of 12 puppies from the Jake x Dakota litter. The two males we have left are the two puppies with the most potential. One of the pups has already convinced Pam that he has way too much potential for her not to keep him and show him. The other puppy has the potential to be a dual champion. He has the potential to finish in the ring but shows a lot of the same characteristics his grandfather Chase and his dad did as far as potential for field work. If you want a pup that you can finish to a dual champion this guy is your opportunity.
