Good news! Jackson county has amended their list of essential businesses, and pet grooming is now considered an essential service. This means that we will once again be open, for curbside service only, beginning Tuesday, April 28.

We will be following the official recommendations for social distancing and sanitation. Your safety and the health and well being of our employees is important to us. The protocols we are following take extra time, and require minor changes in the way we do things.

So please be patient. We are doing our best.

We are short staffed, and our phone time is limited, so when you call, expect that you may have to leave a message with your information. Someone will return your call and schedule your appointment.

Due to the shelter in place order for Jackson County, Mo, Heavenly Pets will be closed for the next few weeks. We feel it is best to adhere to this advisory for the safety of our employees, our employee's families, and our clients. We are hoping that you all stay safe. it was a very hard decision to make but we feel it is for the best. As soon as we are able to start accommodating clients again, we will work day and night to try to catch up and get all our furry friends looking sharp and ready for summer time fun.Again, please stay safe and well.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Here are the new policies:

Yes we are open, and hope to stay open for the duration of the pandemic. However we are all concerned about the Coronavirus, and have decided to do things just a little bit differently. This is an effort to keep our clients (and ourselves) as safe as possible during these difficult and scary times. The changes are as follows:

When you bring your dog to your grooming appointment, we are asking you to stay in your car and call us to let us know you are here. We will come out and get your dog. This minimizes contact between you and other clients, and also helps us to ensure that our surfaces in the lobby stay clean and sanitized.

We accept payment by cash or check. We also accept credit card payments, but are asking that you make these payments over the phone. This minimizes the amount of time it takes to check in and check out pets.

When you pick up your dog, we are asking you to stay in your car and call us to let us know you are here. We will bring your dog out to you.

If you are paying with a credit card, you can make this payment when you call from the parking lot to let us know you are there for your dog.

If this seems excessively cautious, please bear with us and be patient. The last thing we want is to be shut down because one or more of our groomers has tested positive for the virus. We also have a lot of elderly clients and their safety is a very real concern.
