Gasden took off morning of 11/6 and hasn’t returned home. If you’ve seen or heard anything please let me know. He is very friendly and was wearing a harness.
Near 230th and 21 mile.

Does anyone recognize this handsome fella? Finder states: Fixed male, seems healthy, in the Roaring Brook Dr area near 170th Ave. Wants into the house pretty bad so someone may be looking for their indoor cat. If you know where he may belong please contact the shelter at 231-832-5790.

We love that we have so much support from our community and local business'!! Our local Family Farm and Home in Reed City is collecting donations for the shelter. They are all set up to accept donations the weekend of November 8th through the 10th. When you stop in please make sure to tell the wonderful staff there, Thank You for all they do for our shelter pets!!

***ADOPTED***ALSO looking for a loving new home is MEADOW who is a German shepherd. Her mom was pure white GSD. Dad blk and tan with one blue eye. MEADOW is about 8 months old, house-trained, wormed, and we are still putting some much needed weight on her. MEADOW is still the pup and with some training, she would make a great support animal. She's been treated for fleas and wormed and is ready to find her happily ever after. We respectfully remind everyone an appointment is preferred for viewings. Thank you friends.

Just arrived into our loving care to find a new loving home! 5 MONTH old border collie mix, high energy, housetrained, good with dogs and cats, not been around little kids but is a jumper - so kiddos should be old enough she wouldn't knock down in her excitement. CHAR-LEE proved too much energy for her older owner. She's had a Dhlpp/parvo shot upon her arrival and is ready to find a happy new home with someone who understands the breed and knows both the energy and mental stimulation they require. CHAR-LEE spend time outside in a kennel, and in one of the owners rooms due to her energy and she needs the exercise. She will occasionally submissive p*e when excited. SUPER sweet! We know the perfect home is out there just waiting for her!!

***ADOPTED**** Calling all interested adopters with small dog experience and NO children, These 5 furbabies need experienced homes. All are nervous and can be growly. WILL need time to adjust to new homes!!!. Come from multidog home, Will need refresher in potty training. Longer haired chihuahua mixes. 2 males and 3 females. These dogs WILL need patience, understanding a time to adjust as their socialization has been limited. We've seen great progress in the short time they have been in our care. Thank you friends for the shares and we feel quieter homes would suit them best. We respectfully remind everyone an appointment is highly recommended for viewings. Interested adopters are encouraged to send us a PM with other dog info in the home, way to keep contained, and experience you may have. ***ADOPTED*** Introducing ASHER who has just arrived into our care. Poodle shih tzu mix apx 3-4 yrs old was found in the MARION area. Seems super friendly - still in the getting to know him stages here but no aggression. We believe he was flirting with the neighbor fm dogs.

***ADOPTED*** Oh what a difference a day makes! Extending a most sincere heartfelt Thank you to the wonderful ladies of the Pet Boutique in Big Rapids! Summer and Katie did a FAB job on this poor senior male yorkie who was found soo severally matted, he could not even move or p**p properly! Don't know how he got to be in his found horrible condition, but he sure feels better now! Even came back into our care sporting a sweater. Thank you Summer and Katie! We are soo very blessed to have some wonderful groomers in our area - who always seem to make room for a "groom emergency" such as this one! We respectfully remind everyone when considering a fur-friend - regular grooming is a must for our longer haired friends. This is one of the top 5 worst cases I've had the displeasure of seeing in my years with AC. What do you think his shelter name should be?? Hims is soo happy now!

WOW!!! seems we've been Holloweened overnight!! Now this is the kind of spookery I can really appreciate! What a wonderful surprise this early morning to arrive to care for the animals to find we've been all decked out! What a fabulous way to show support and appreciate the shelter and it's homeless pets! We are forever grateful to our wonderful friend Kelly and her happy antics! ABSOLUTELY made my day!! Bless you!

***ADOPTED*** Don't it make my brown eyes blue? Introducing NEWTON who is about 2 years old and a tad nervous. Not recommending children or noisy households with people making lots of quick movements. Does fine here at the shelter but a quieter home would suit him best. Handsome pom/chi mix tall in the legs. Perhaps a home with a retiree and another dog that could show him the ropes of the household routine. Adoption our standard $50.00 with $35.00 refunded upon proof of neuter and updated rabies.
