When we have a litter of puppies, we get about 2 months with them. Over that span of time, we are privileged to be able to watch them go through so many different phases. From birth, watching them be born, mama cleaning them off and helping them nurse for the first time. Seeing them open their little eyes to figure out how to walk. My personal favorite is when they discover the ability to make noise and watching them interact and learn to play with each other.
These babes truly are a blessing and we enjoy every moment we’re able to spend with them before they make the transition to their forever home ❤️🐾

We still have puppies available for purchase and looking for home to call their own. Come on out to farm store to see them in person!

Lakota Stock Dogs are bred for working ability as well as docility. The parents are both incredibly intelligent and aim to please, making these pups the perfect companions.

As many of you know, our farm store is self service and we work on the honor system. It has been this way since we opened our doors in 2015!!

When you arrive at our store, we give clear instructions on the counter on how to use our honor system, including how to make payment.

Unfortunately in the last 2 weeks, we have not been able to process over $300 worth of receipts because people have left off crucial information needed to process credit cards or Venmo. 🥲

So, I’m asking that if you have visited our store in the last month and haven’t seen your purchase payment process in your bank account or Venmo, that you please reach out to me!

I’m also asking that everyone PLEASE follow the self checkout instructions when visiting our store. The last thing we want to have to do is close down our honor system!!!

My favorite thing about our eggs is that you never know what you’re going to get! No carton of eggs from Lakota is ever the same!

Meet Grace!

Grace is our 2 year old Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog! She free roams around our farm store to protect and watch out our chicken flock!

If you come out to our ranch, you’ll see her and you will also see her Mama, McKayla, in with our petting zoo animals!

They are both very very friendly, so make sure to say hi to the girls when you come out! 😃

King Henry is an 11 year old 2,200lb Devon Bull. He has won several National Championships and sired several hundred Devon calves over the years.

The Devon herd heading into new pasture full of white clover, red clover, crown vetch, orchard grass, and much more. This time of year, we want our cattle eating a diversified diet that doesn’t include fescue. The endophytes in fescue grass raise the internal temperature of animals slightly, and can cause issues in the long term sense. These other grasses and legumes provide a nutritious and diversified diet without the endophyte! Healthy and happy cows!

Chuck Strip Steak 16oz 100% Grass Fed & Finished Devon Beef Www.lakotaranchfarmstore.com • This cut of steak is known for its rich flavor and low cost. Heavy marbling and good fat in this cut makes for great flavor! This is not a cut known for its leanness or tenderness, but it’s flavor makes up for any of that! • Recommend cooking method: 1.)
