“There’s something different about the way a good mare connects with her rider. It’s special. Like an unspoken agreement. Once a mare chooses you as her person, it’s like she has an instinct to protect you, to fight for you. It’s almost as if she takes ownership of you.

I believe the good mares have a deep sense of intuition. They can read your mind. They know what you’re thinking even before you do. The good mares I know breathe fire in the face of challenge and then somehow, miraculously, know to quiet themselves when a timid child is plopped on their back for a pony ride.

They are clever, cunning and calculated, which can be your greatest enemy or your saving grace. The good mares I know do not tolerate egotistical riding. They do not tolerate force. They demand tact, finesse and emotional control. But once you have won a mare’s heart, you have won all of her. In exchange for your best—and nothing less—she will give you everything.”

It’s Hallie Copleston, I’m a barrel racer from Ridgeville S.C! I been riding for about 12 years both directions of English and western! While Riding competitive rodeo I’ve won:
1D 3rd Youth, 4D 3rd Youth, & 3D Open Champion in 2022
3D Youth Champion 2022
3D Reserve Champion back in 2020
4D Reserve champion 2023
4D 4th Open 2021
Qualifying for NBHA World Championships Open, Youth/ Teen Finals Four Years in a row.
SCRA finals X2.
2024 Youth/ Open Qualifier.

I’ve started a few baby horses, tuned up some older horses, patterned some barrel/ pole horses, seasoned a few horses on trails/ gotten back into work, and even started a Donkey under saddle!

Here’s a lil bit about Crazy Broke Performance Horses! Starting my Career in horse training/ starting I want the community to see my work and progress on some different levels, and Ages of equines! Excited to share my journey as you watch me work with my personal horses along with client horses.

• Specializing in the western discipline, c**t starting/ Groundwork, Tune Ups/ 30,60,90 Day Training sessions, patterning/ seasoning horses, etc!
