GOOD EVENING People of the Pack....
So, we are approaching the rescue's 13th anniversary in February, of course there is Valentines Day (same day as our anniversary), Presidents Day and not forgetting the Superbowl.
March brings St. Patrick's Day and also Easter, April brings us St. Georges Day (Patron Saint of ENGLAND), Patriots Day and May the Cinci De Mayo, Mothers Day and of course the very important Memorial Day.
I have so many FUN IDEAS of events, fundraising and antics that we can and need to get up to - HOWEVER, I cannot do it on my own.
I am looking for people to JOIN ME in an EVENTS & FUNDRAISING Committee - we will meet either weekly or fortnightly (bi-weekly) to discuss plans, allocate tasks and update, all whilst working on future events and fundraising as we move through the year.
Give a Dog a Home Rescue will celebrate 13 years of saving lives in February and as we left 2023 behind I promised myself that 2024 would be the year we REALLY HAVE a LOT of FUN - we have spent all years working tirelessly on saving dogs, fixing kennels and setting up community programs putting in so many hours in all weather and a lot of hard work - well as much as the hard work will continue - the balance is going to TIP the other way and priority is going to be FUN, FUN, FUN.
I am looking for people of all ages, all experiences and capabilities - together we will brain storm, putting together each of our strengths to make achieve our goals and to bring fun not just to GaDaH but to ours and surrounding communities.
Just a few of the events will include - staging and taking photo shoots, baking; 5k walk/runs -t-shirt designs, design competitions, possible slumpaw party an so much more, I don't want to give too much away!
If you have the time and commitment to join this committee please let me know - I will be posting a date and time for a meeting here at the rescue where we can gather in our Community Humans and Hounds Social Club area to discuss thoughts, ideas and which path forward we shall first take.
