We've been searching for several years for a Care Plan (Payment Plan) that would actually benefit the patients and be easy to use/understand. We have found one that checks off all of our boxes to make access to veterinary care affordable. Our launch date will be 8/7/24, and we are very excited to be able to offer this quality of service to our clients. 🥰

We are excited to announce the arrival of the 3rd of our 4 staff babies to arrive at AHCVH in 2024. Congratulations to Amy and baby Hadley! 🥰

We have such a wonderful work team, and I am so proud to be able to try to support all of our hard working mamas. Not going to lie, having 4 of our 6 support staff pregnant at the same time was a bit stressful to plan, BUT it is so rewarding to see these beautiful mamas balance home and careers so well. Here's to building better businesses!

We understand that not every pet loves to come to the vet office as it can be scary. We do our best to make the experience as smooth as possible for the pet and pet owner. That being said, if we tell you that we recommend trying a different approach or a different day, we are advocating for your pet. Having 3-4 people literally sit on your dog for a nail trim or procedure only makes subsequent visits worse.

As many of you may have already heard. The Blue Pearl Vet ER has unexpectedly closed with an unknown time of return. Fortunately, there is a new veterinary emergency service starting on Thursday June 20th. They will be working out of the Stewartville Vet Clinic site until they can get a permanent home in Rochester.

Until Thursday night, veterinary emergency locations can be found:
South Metro Emergency
AERC Oakdale
Blue Pearl Eden Prairie

Please forward this information to all of your fellow pet owners to avoid any delay of urgent care if needed.

As a veterinary hospital, we obviously love helping pets. It is our passion. What makes us different is that we recognize that the people that love these animals need some love and support too! Life is getting busier and overscheduled, so we aim to offer a quiet environment for both the pets and the people to decrease some anxiety and overstimulation. We use our messaging platform called Otto to help make easier communication when you are working or on the go. We are here to partner with pet owners to improve the lives of our pets and our bonds with them.

The warmer winter weather has absolutely extended the season for fleas and ticks in Minnesota. Please be sure your pets are consistently on a quality Flea/Tick Preventative! These ticks carry Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, and other tick borne diseases. Flea infestations are also common in the winter months as the fleas move inside to seek warmth.

Ticks can be active in above-freezing temperatures.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Our practice is small and not exciting to view from the outside. However, our focus has been spent creating a warm and safe environment on the inside. Quality equipment, staff and products are more important to us than curb appeal when choices have to be made. The outside curb appeal will be worked on over time; we want our priority to be pets, clients and staff.

Please note that Virtual visits can only happen with Current/Active clients that have been seen by one of our veterinarians within 12 months.

Virtual visits work well for busy pet owners trying to fit in health care into their schedules:
1. Post operative surgery rechecks that are doing well
2. Skin changes, itching, hair loss
3. Recurrent allergies that are otherwise controlled but need some intermittent treatment
4. Behavior changes
5. Lameness and mobility changes
6. Senior quality of life discussions and assessment
7. Diabetic consultations to review blood sugar values collected at home.
