Picard Found a Home

It’s been a while since we have given an update on Picard! Life has been full. He is doing well. However, over the last couple of months he has been a little down in the dumps and just more tired. He’s gained 10 pounds, and he just hasn’t been his happy self. Luckily, Premier Vet ran some labs and found out he has hypothyroidism and it can be easily treated with daily medication. It made us all a little anxious for a minute. Picard is our whole world (especially his bed bug’s world) but we know he is getting older so we were worried about the possibility of something serious. So thankful it’s something easily treatable and so thankful for all the attention Dr. Bearden at Premier gave our favorite boy!

Captain’s Log: Fell asleep tonight dreaming of what mom will focus on after all the Halloween-ing is over. Finally time for my most favorite holiday when mom focuses on what’s most important….cooking all my favorites! I can smell the homemade rolls already! 🥰🐶

Captain’s Log Road Trip Update: Welp. I am DOG TIRED! But today was fun! Started our day with brunch at Down on Grayson. (5 paws definitely recommend.) Then I saw the Alamo. (I’m not allowed in but still fun to see) and while Dad took my sisters inside I got a snocone with mom. Still haven’t met that guy Antonio though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Captain’s Log: My big sis shared me with all her Facebook humans! She’s a pawsome Real Estate Agent and can find you the perfect back yard for your most important moving buddy!!

Captain’s Log: I don’t usually talk about cats because well…Cats. But this cat is named Quill. My sister takes care of him at the Rowlett PetSmart every Wednesday. He is looking for his forever home. From what she tells me he’s a really sweet boy. A little shy and likes to keep all four paws on the ground. But he loves to lean into a good pet and would be a great companion for someone out there…
She really wants to bring him home. Mom explained I don’t like cats, but I do love my bedbug. So I’m making a rare cat post so Quill can find his people. I know they are out there somewhere. ❤️

Captain’s Log: Update on my weight loss. As you may recall I was 100 pounds and mom made my sisters cut back on treats and I had to start walking everyday and some days twice a day. Well…I went to the vet yesterday and I am down 5 whole pounds. Feeling like a lean machine! Gonna keep taking off the weight!

Captain’s Log: My bed bug trained to help cats with Friends of Rowlett today. The same group who helped me find my home. I guess I’m okay with her helping the cats as long as she doesn’t bring one home. I mean I suppose they need love too...

Captain’s Log: 4 years ago today my humans officially adopted me and I’ve been cuddling my little people everyday since! I’m so thankful to all the people who helped save me and make my life the one it is now.

Captain’s Log: My bed bug has slept on the couch with me every night for years...Mom and dad gave up fighting it. She’s FINALLY realized this week that I like beds too!

Captain’s Log: This diet sucks!!! 😩😩 Mom ordered pizza for dinner and no one will let me have any. Mom said if I’m nice I can have one crust. I usually get at least two whole slices. I’m down to ONE crust. I even gave her the sad “I’m a good boy” eyes but she won’t budge...see my sad boy eyes. Someone sneak me pizza over the fence and don’t tell my mom.

Captain’s Log: Went to the vet for my check up and the doctor told my mom I weighed 100 pounds. Now mom is threatening to take away my pancakes and my pot roast and she’s all “That’s too big that’s not healthy you’re going Keto! You’re walking three times a day!” Whatever Keto is I’m sure I don’t like it, and if I don’t get my pot roast then I’m stealing the keys to the car. 😒🙈🤣
