Our office will be closed Thursday, July 4th, in observance of the holiday. We will reopen with normal business hours on Friday, July 5th.

We recommend all clients with pets that will need medication to help with the noise of fireworks to please contact our office PRIOR TO July 1st!

While our refill policy is 48hrs, summer holidays tend to come with higher anxiety for pets, therefore it may take a few days to fulfill all prescription requests. We cannot guarantee that requests received with less than 48hrs notice will be fulfilled.

As always, we will have a doctor on call available for phone consultations only - 434-985-7924, option 1.

Should your pet experience a medical emergency, please contact Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital (24hr) at 434-202-1616 or Autumn Trails Veterinary Clinic (8am-8pm) at 434-971-9800.

Cruelty to animals is illegal and can be charged as a Class 1 Misdemeanor or a Felony, depending on the VA Code violation. Do not leave your pets inside of a vehicle. Animals shall have food, water, and adequate shelter.

Meet Crystal! She has been with our team for almost 2 months and we are thrilled to have her!

I grew up in Culpeper County. I have always had a love of animals and began working with them around 2010 doing things such as pet sitting, grooming, receptionist in boarding facilities&hospitals, clinics in animal shelters and assisting..I just love being around furr babies! I live in Culpeper with my chihuahua furr babies and my husband. When I'm not busy at work helping out other animals and their humans I'm typically at the beach, a concert, camping, planting flowers or cooking out with my family and playing cornhole.o

BOLO around 29N, near Natural Pet Essentials & Dog Wash and Proffitt Rd/Airport Rd area. Don't have a photograph. Mostly black with white puppy, spaniel-looking. Please share! One of our newest employees is Kristen, a CSR. We are happy to have her sunny disposition greeting all of our clients and their pets!

Hey my name is Kristen!
Most of my family and friends call me LoveBug! I am one of the receptionist here at Ruckersville Animal Hospital. I’m also a Certified Veterinary Assistant. I really enjoy being a CSR and helping people and I absolutely love animals so a job where I do both is fills my heart. Some of my interests include French bulldogs!!! I’m absolutely obsessed! I love them. Also my favorite color is purple and I enjoy outdoor activities! I’m a pretty simple girl, easy going. I like to make people smile and I pretty much just go with the flow. Some days you just gotta ride the wave. I really look forward to meeting you all and your sweet furry friends !

I grew up in Greene with a love for animals. Along with having a family farm, I have been working in the vet field for almost 4 years and have learned so much more. I enjoy taken care of animals, along with their families, and watching them grow.

Hello! My name is Cheyenne! I have always known from a young age that I wanted to work with animals and that passion continued on and I have been doing what I love for the past 4 years now. I received my certification in Veterinary Assistant through Blue Ridge Community College in 2020.
