Although not what I was expecting Im beyond thrilled to announce Poppins was breed to a stunning male and gave me a beautiful baby boy! A singleton litter has been a very different experience but Im loving the ability to really focus on one.

At this time Im holding on to him. He is an energetic little ball of fluff and Im having so much fun with him.

Id like to formally introduce the Poppins and Rock baby- If he stays he will be Whispley’s Lost Boy, call name- Pan

Fun weekend playing Rally at the RRNDOC. I brought the young dogs out and we had a fun successful weekend.

Aslan got his Rally advanced title with great scores finishing the weekend with a perfect 100! (Faira and Money)

Neytiri made her debut in the rally ring and blew me away! With scores in the high 90s and even a perfect 100 she got her Rally Novice title. (Ayla and Trooper)

Another fun agility weekend in the books.

Rippley finished her PACH on Friday and then retired from agility on Sunday. She has been an amazing teammate and Im so thankful we were able to accomplish so much!

Ayla ran with another handler this weekend and they had a blast! They only got one Q but they learned a-lot and were a strong team.

Neytiri got her Novice Fast title and had several pretty runs but with her baby dog mistakes we weren’t able to get any additional Qs

Aslan got a Q in Novice Jumpers and I was super proud of our progress and that he was able to keep the bars up!

Astrid ran on Sunday and got a Q in Novice Jumpers. She is a fast cute little thing!

Piper got both of her open titles and is officially in the big kid classes.

It was a great weekend for the Whispering Valley dogs!

The Veggies are 2! Happy birthday to a wonderful litter of talented MAS, between the 4 of them they are actively working on scent-work, obedience, rally, agility, and conformation on top of being exceptional family companions and doggy friends.

Riblet went to her new home today! I had the utmost pleasure of getting raise and love her, she was a complete joy and one of the best snugglers Ive ever had. She is little and sassy but completely sweet! She loves everyone and goes nuts for kids.

Im so happy that Riblet found the perfect home with another Whispering Valley Pup, Toka her sister from the Ayla and Milo litter. Together they are just too cute for words!

Im going to miss you my little Riblet but I know you were meant for more and when the perfect home came along I knew I had to let you go. I cant wait to hear about all your adventures and see you at some trials in the future.

Go and be awesome little girl! 💕

Fun weekend playing agility.

Neytiri (Trooper and Ayla- Veggie litter) started her career in agility with 2 qualifying scores in fast and 2 first places.

Poppins (Harrison and Vega-Rocks litter) got her AX title, 2 Qs in Jumpers and 2 Qs in T2B.

Piper (Harrison and Vega-Rocks litter) got a Q in open jumpers.

Rippley (Collins and Delaney- Spring Flowers litter) had a perfect weekend getting 3 QQs!

Its been a busy but fun weekend!

Astrid, Neytiri, and Poppins all went in for their yearly eye CERFs and got the all clear on Friday!

Today Jaxx got to come with a try out being a brewery dog. He rocked it! Very calm and sweet, everyone was surprised that he is only 10 months because he was so well behaved. He loved meeting all the people, getting to hang out and especially loved the small human treat dispensers.

Poppins was a rockstar today and got her 2nd Q in excellent jumpers. One more togo and we will be in Masters and staring to work on her MACH!

Aslan made is depute today in the official Novice classes. He decided not to hold his criteria for contacts so we will be doing some retraining but he is running with confidence and speed!

He managed a beautiful Q and 1st place in Jumpers!

Poppins had a ton of energy and excitement but I wasn’t fast enough and missed my blind cross which resulted in her running around a jump. She is in the excellent classes so any mistakes means no Q.

Neytiri, Riblet, and Jax got to come and get lots of socializing and think trials are the best!

We played agility today and the courses were fun and fast!

Aslan ran in Novice Fast and got a first place for his title! At a month over 2 he is just starting his agility career and is a fun fast boy.

Im a huge believer in using the science and technology available to us to breed healthier dogs. Some new testing has now become available for some horrendous diseases, neuroaxonal dystrophy (NAD) and a new cataract gene that causes blindness in adolescence.

Im very happy to report that I have received clear results for both tests! 😁 6/6 clear

With all of the excitement of nationals I completely missed the Rocks golden 3rd birthday! Happy belated birthday to the Vega and Harrison litter. May you all have an amazing year of adventures and belly rubs.

We are home from MASCUSA nationals and Im exhausted! 🤣 It was a fun filled 8 days full of everything MAS. I stayed with some of the funnest, most supportive people and enjoyed every minute. Staying in a house with 16 dogs sure had us in laughs.

The pups did amazing in all of the events and we came home with new titles and lots of qualifying runs.

Riblet and Jax also got to tag along and got tons of amazing exposure to ducks, sheep, large trial venues and so many people!

Jax is visiting in prep to head to Missouri for MAS nationals on Friday! He will be competing in the 4-6m class. It will be a crazy fun week and hopefully we will come home with lots of new ribbons. 😁

Jaxx, formerly Pit-Boss came for a visit last weekend. He had a blast getting to run in the yard and it was fun to see how he is growing out.

Jaxx is coming with the MAS nationals in November to show in 4-6m puppy.

It was a fun weekend of playing agility. With all the young girls in season it was fun to play with the older girls.

Ayla was 3/6 and got a QQ towards her PACH. She wasn’t feeling well on Saturday so was scratched but we got warmed up for nationals in November and know what we need to fine tune.

Ripply was perfect but I messed up on Friday and cost us Qs so she came home with 2 QQs and are on the final stretch towards her PACH. At 10 every run is precious and to still be running with my first breed by girl and my first agility champion is always so fun.

Aslan got to play in fast and he loved every minute. We only got 1 Q but he did amazing considering he very much had boy brain with all the young girls smelling so pretty at home.

Overall a really fun weekend playing one of my favorite games.

Weber went home today! He has been the sweetest boy and Im so excited for his new family. He is now Whispley’s The Breeze call name Breeze and has a bright future, his new family wants to try out some dog sports including trick dog, agility and possibly some obedience/rally.

POTENTIAL OWNER: How much is the puppy?
BREEDER: $1800+ dollars.
POTENTIAL OWNER: What?? It's way too expensive!!
BREEDER: What do you think would be a good price?
POTENTIAL OWNER: No more than $500. You breeders are so overpriced.
BREEDER: I am sorry you see it this way; why don't you try it yourself?
POTENTIAL OWNER: But I've never done it!
BREEDER: For FREE, I can teach you how to do it, and you will also have the knowledge of how to do it again.
POTENTIAL OWNER: Perfect, thank you!
BREEDER: To start, you will need a female(average cost $3500 and up)and a male(average cost $3500 and up) or semen (average $2000-$2500 and up). You will need to do genetic & health testing on them, which averages about $800+ per dog.

Let's not forget progesterone testings, inseminations, ultrasounds, x-rays, semen collections, semen analysis, potentially semen overnight shipping, and so on ($1500+).
Raise and provide daily care, feeding & grooming for two years. (minimal $250 per month) Oh, don’t forget monthly prevention, annual vet visits, and any other additional vet visits.
POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have that much money...

BREEDER: For $1200, you can raise a litter and then keep one of the puppies. Obviously, you will pay the cost of whelping & care.
POTENTIAL OWNER: I can do that.
BREEDER: OK, so I have a female due to whelp in 2 weeks. You will need to be available 24/7 around the clock for at least eight weeks to help with delivery and care. ( a million loads of laundry) Another 4-plus weeks to monitor mom and puppies.
POTENTIAL OWNER: twelve weeks?? It's way too much time for me! I have to work.
BREEDER: Plus, You will need to be available for puppy families to call you 24/7 with a worry or concern, no matter the age. You MUST also be ready to take back the puppy/dog at any age if the family has an unforeseen emergency.
BREEDER: You will also need the reproductive vet to do progesterone testing($110/ test ), X-ray to get headcount ($100) & C-section($1000-$5000 if needed), and initial vet care on pups until old enough to be placed ($800+).
Have on hand a scale, thermometer, latex gloves, puppy pads, incubator, oxygen concentrator, nebulizer, heating lamp, whelping box, puppy pen, blankets, toys, bowls, cleaning supplies, appropriate food with supplements for mothers, formula, medications & hand feeding supplies in case of emergency...
POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have all these things!
BREEDER: For $5000+, you can buy them.
POTENTIAL OWNER: Ummm .... You know, I think it might be better if I just buy a puppy.
BREEDER: Wise decision.
For us, there are no vacations or holidays; while you go to visit with family & friends, we are home at our dogs' side caring for them. It is a no-break commitment.

When you choose a reputable person, you aren’t only purchasing the puppy but also knowledge, support, experience, love, time, sacrifices, etc...
**Plus the cost of lifetime support to the puppy owners…
These numbers are just the tip of the iceberg, (best-case scenario!!!) As a reputable breeder who takes on this journey full-time!
