People always say I look like a bear, but I'm no 800 pounds! 😂 Mommy use to camp here when she was a kid. She would like to visit here soon!

👉 Week 1: Know Your Bears!

Did you know that some black bears in Pennsylvania have been found to reach over 800 pounds? They're known for their incredible adaptability and can be found in diverse habitats, from dense woodlands to mountainous regions. 🌳 Black bears, despite their name, can vary in color from black ⚫️ to brown 🟤 to even a cinnamon hue. Bears are an integral part of our state's natural ecosystem, playing roles as both predators and scavengers.

While bears are often associated with their love for berries and nuts, they're actually omnivores with quite the diverse palate! From insects and small mammals to fruits and vegetation, black bears are opportunistic feeders. 🦗🫐 Their adaptability allows them to thrive in various environments, making them a common sight in Pennsylvania's parks and forests.
