Well we took some time off of breeding after we lost our doe Willow....but we are back in full wing with another Poppy and Dahlia litter. They had 7 huge kits. We also bred our 2nd generation doe Violet with our newish buck Pepper and got 9 kits from them. One of our rehomed does (Alexia's Princess Stormy...lol i know) found her way back to the farm. She is from the same Poppy and Dahlia litter Violet is from. We decided to prove her before deciding to rehome or keep her....she had 10 yesterday from Pepper as well. The big surprise was the amount of REW we got from the Pepper litter. Violet had 5 of them and Stormy had 3. We now have 8 REW, 5 broken black (some might be broken blue but its hard to tell), 6 solid black, & 7 solid blue kits. Looks like we are back in business. 16 available in 6 weeks and 10 more available in 8 weeks. Not sexed yet but will update as they grow.

So I haven't really posted on our site for a bit. We've had some unfortunate incidents happening in rabbit land here at PnR. We very happy to see babies in Willow's (our broken chestnut doe) nest box, until we found her dead 2 mornings later. We were bummed but there were other pressing matters to deal with...the now orphaned kits. We tried everything we could do and at first our other doe Dahlia was helping bit unfortunately her kits just weaned and she no longer had milk. We started feeding and caring for the kits but after 4-5 days we lost the babies too. It was a sad week for us starting with the lost of Willow and ending with the loss of her kits.

Well things always keep pushing on the farm and today I was able to acquire a pedigreed Vienna marked NZ broken blue doe. She is only a couple months old but we have high hopes for this little girl.

We also have PnR Farm's Violet growing up to be a future doe. She is a solid blue NZ doe from PnR Farm's Black Dahlia and PnR Farm's Poppy. She has good shape and was the biggest of her litter. We will try to breed her next month with PnR Farm's Pepper.

A lot going on at the farm and we haven't even started planting yet. Here we go.

Rest in peace baby girl. Our doe Willow died overnight and left her 3 two day old kits orphaned. We are trying to figure out how to save these little babies. Say a prayer, or whatever, for Willow's babies.

Dahlia's litter so far is doing good. They are loud squirmers and guess what....she had 10!! Looks like 5 black and 5 blues. All pedigreed NZ rabbits. People are already requesting holds on blues sounds like they should have no problem finding new homes.
