The chickens are off strike and we have plenty of eggs for sale. Farmer Steve built a new stand out front and the cooler is full! We are on lamb watch 2024 and there are some expectant moms out front waiting to say hello!

The autumn days have shortened. So with this our hens begin to decrease in egg production. We will be selling eggs on the weekends only until they start laying more frequently. Sorry for any inconveniences.

I was brought up on and worked on farms throughout my 51 years. And have been enamored by this community. The way they were in synch with Mother Nature. What did it take to get there. To cultivate a product you could stand behind and people would enjoy.

I thought the blending of the food service industry and my hobby farming would stamp me as “a farmer”. But it doesn’t resonate for me yet.

Until then we will tend to flocks, crops and herds. Watch the weather, start-seeds, call the vet, give shots, trellis plants etc. and always strive to be a farmer. Because after all we were all day dreamers once.
