V poradí druhá helma pre skvelého rekonštruktéra

Made after an extant surviving piece from the Bolzano castle in the Italy, dated to year 1300.

Bol som poctený požiadavkou od jedného z najlepších rekonštruktérov tejto doby - o vytvorenie ikonickej, tzv. vysokej helmy, používanej v 12. storočí, v západnej európe. Bola to veru výzva, najmä vďaka požiadavkam na kvalitu povrchovej úpravy. Na posledných 2 fotkách poskytnutých majiteľom helmy môžete vidieť vizuálne pramene, na základe ktorých sme pracovali pri výrobe helmy.
ENG: I was honored by getting a comission from one of the elite , an awesome French reconstructor, by making the so called "Tall Helmet" which was used in the western europe in the 12th century (based on the iconography). To be honest, the Holy Knight iniciated an idea in my head, so i started with Medieval Militant thanks to him!

Rukavice, skôr Talianskej proveniencie v štýle okolo polovice 15. storočia. Veľmi ma zaujala kombinácia ochrany prstov jednotlivými šupinami, a aj predĺženou hánkovou platničkou. Zápastie je odartikulované pre umožnenie čo najväčšej pohyblivosti. Zadná časť pri zápästí na pravej strane mi zhorela, čo je daň za nepozornosť vo vyhni. Aspon mám pamiatku :)
Na poslednej fotke je zachovaný kus podľa ktorého som ich robil (kto nájde rozdiely dostane horálku :)).

ENG: This project took sooooooo much time :( This is showing how non effective i know to be, and what important role during the process plays MOTIVATION. So... after 6 months, here they are. Gauntlets, rather mid 15th century, Italian style. I loved the combination of protection by scales on the fingers and articulated elongation of the medicar... oh... you know - the plate which extends on the fingers 😄
On the last pic, extant original is showed. If you find the differences, i'll give you some sweets for free.

Potláčam svoje limity výrobou náročnejších heliem. Tento kúsok je inšpirovaný Lewisovým žaltárom (Lewis Psalter - originál je na poslednej snímke.) z nizozemia, datovaným do roku cca 1240, pričom je mierne štylizovaná a doplnená o vrchný držiak na klenot - ozdobu helmy.

Pushing my zenith to it's limits by making those stylized helmets.. This one is inspired by the Lewis Psalter, dated to circa 1240. It is fitted with a crest piece (about to be made) and is slightly stylised.
