What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are vegetable greens harvested just after the cotyledon leaves have developed. They are grown or purchased by people focused on nutrition, or else are used as both a visual and flavor component, primarily in fine dining restaurants.

According to Healthline.com, Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches tall. They have an aromatic flavor and concentrated nutrient content and come in a variety of colors and textures Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green.

Microgreens are used in Wraps, Sushi, Stir Fry, Soups, Spring Rolls and in Meat Dishes. They are versatile and flavorful and can compliment or shine in any dish. They are delicious garnishes. The can go on Sandwiches, Salads, and Shakes or Smoothies.
