I love my staff. When they all leave, and get sick, I'm reminded how much they do. And how capable I am to do it. But even more, I love their company, energy, and the fun they bring. Ty Annika and Nickie for picking up some slack. ♡♡♡Tristyn, Gwen, and Abby. ♡♡♡♡
Very successful show! Beau worked through his First Level 3, and we worked through some stuff. Beau showed everyone what a good stallion he is! Fyre was an amazing horse today and pulled a 68 on Traing 3, and 62 his first time at First 3. Very pleased. Tristyn also got a 1st and 2nd on Shadow. Pulling some great scores. So proud of her progress from fall!
Amazing show!!! Thanks to my amazing staff, work-study, parents and volunteers!!! Thankyou Roberta for supporting our show and our next generation of riders!
The silver truck has a new flatbed with tool boxes! All ready for hauling! And Martha came home to visit! Horse daughters are always welcome back at W.E.S.T.!!

Congratulations to our newest certified Instructors for Therapeutic Riding!!
Crazy day!!! Chasing shorts on electric fences. The Coolstance Coconut showed up late at 130, so We all hustled to unload 45 bags off the semi into my truck, then into the tack room, restocked feed barrels, The Jupiter AND Wrecker escaped the new pen, twice! I think we figured that out, the turkeys, or rather fish, went through the pond. Then of course lessons/training from 1 until 6. Whew, These girls can keep up!
Had a blast away, but glad to be home teaching and riding! Flew in at 2, on a horse by 4pm. Rode Fyre ba****ck also.
Had the most surreal experience checking in at American Airlines. Great Agents helped me with my first TSA check in. Then the agent on the next Kiosk, Tinah, overheard and knew me! So she talked some praises, got a picture with me, and called me her fan! It was encouraging to hear her talk about the positive influence I have in the horse world. Though I'm pretty sure I was 4 shades of Red through it ALL! Then a older gentleman at security mentioned he overheard and we had a quick talk on arabians, shows, etc. TY Lord for this job!!
Onions feet before and after 20year old QHxBelgian. It's an art for me.
Our new website is up and running!!! Check it out! Feedback is appreciated! Www.westhorse.net

32 round bales. Love having my hay stocked and ready for winter early.
Another amazing clinic!!! And another fantastic group. Lots of working through different shapes, issues and horse hoof types. A great mix of levels, and everyone learned more. Next trim clinic Nov 25th.
I took a lesson on my 20 year old appendix, and worked on my connection in the leg yield. I am playing with adding lower leg separation from seat and thigh. That darn right toe likes to stick out...lol. after my lesson I work a horse to make these youngsters more comfortable going places. I have loved riding this Drum 4 year old mare. She goes home Saturday and I'll see her back in fall. She is a quick learner and worked hard to be connected.
I also enjoyed working with my Instructor, a silver Medalist working on her gold. Everyone needs a set of eyes, and it's an honor helping her find a better connection.
Also love this new breeches pattern!
June 3rd Schooling show

Please watch. Thankyou to everyone who support our business and make this a great place to learn and grow. All older tack we dont need will go to new starting barns, or therapeutic center. So the blessings are passed on.
We have have some amazing hardworking horses. Mirage, 24 is teaching River, our young rider to seat deep in the canter.
We have amazing Instructors! Victor is teaching 4 beginner riders age 8 to 12. Look at that spacing!
Jane vaults with us every week and has become very good at her Compulseries! The Foundation moves for vaulting, basic seat, mill, flag, kneel, clicks and scissors. She also working on standing. Come join us!
Want to do something fun, exciting and SAFE? Yes! Vaulting is one of the safest Equestrian sports. Learn on a competition level practice barrel, and on a well trained Percheron Cross or Fjord. All ages. I have a very "mature" woman doing all the basic excersizes. Great for all ages, AND helps horse riding skills!!! Contact us!
We are so thrilled with Caspian. We wondered if and when he would come around. After 3 months of riding, he has finally built up the muscle, stamina and trust to start relaxing under saddle!
Vote for a name for the new horse! Chestnut 12yr Belgian/qh cross. Coming from Virginia. Names to vote on are Jupiter, Orion, Mars. Comment choice below.
First ride at the ranch for Dune the American Hanovarian. Marjorie is learning to use only seat on this well trained horse with a ton of buttons. Leaning fwd puts the brakes on, lifting the pelvis extends him. He is fun to learn on.
Meet Dune. (Dalwhinny registered American Hanovarian) On lease to us. 3rd level training. Big movement. We will be working to get him back fit, and back to 3rd. This video was the tail end, he was getting tired. He's sweet , lots of energy. And fun.
Penelope, a 3 year old Gypsy Drum in training. 1 month under saddle. About 25 rides. She's learning to step up into contact. She's still learning to move hq, so we review it at the halt often so she can get more consistent. Oh and her favorite trick is walking over the white poles!
Rachel learns to steady her pelvis and keep it level. She's working to keep the belt level by keeping her pelvis fro. Dropping. Neutral is the way to stay more connected in the seat.
