Does anyone know this dog? ANY information would be greatly appreciated. She was found west of Bellevue this morning in horrible condition. She was emaciated, recently had a litter of pups and suffering from severe seizures. She was taken to the vet immediately. Valiant efforts were made to save her, but sadly, her body wasn't strong enough to survive. She spent the day at the vet's office on an IV, plenty of meds and monitoring. We could not get the seizures under control, therefore, we chose to end her suffering. She is at peace now, but we are not. If you know who could be responsible for the condition in which she was found in, please reach out to us so we can get justice for her.

This young female pup who we are calling “Charlotte” was found in the 200 block of North Toussaint South Road!! If you are or know who this girls owner is, please contact the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office Dog Warden Division at 419-898-1368!!

I share this all the time but today it happened to me and my quick action saved my girl.
We installed dog doors, they have shade outside and the country breeze but Stella didn’t come inside for some reason when she got hot. I checked on them before leaving for softball and found Stella panting and wheezing.
I grabbed the fan, had Leah get me wet hand towels and got one under her and one on top. Offered water and then dumped water on her and put rubbing alcohol on her paw pads. Her temp was 103.7 within 5 mins I was able to get her temp back in normal range and her breathing back to normal.
Such a scary moment, but I’m glad I knew what to do before her temp could rise anymore.

Please! Do not bring these into your home if you have cats or dogs Lots of people think that poinsettias are toxic - these are so. much. worse. All parts of the plant, including the pollen, can lead to irreversible kidney failure if ingested by a cat. We shared before, but if this saves even one kitty, it was worth sharing again.

Update …they are toxic to dogs also but not to the severity as cats

From U.S. Geological Survey (USGS): No definitive cause(s) of illness or death have been determined regarding the bird deaths at this time.

Birds congregating at bird feeders and birdbaths can transmit diseases to one another. Therefore, the state agencies in the impacted regions recommend the following standard precautions:

1️⃣ Stop feeding birds until further notice.
2️⃣ Clean feeders and birdbaths with a 10% bleach solution, rinse with water and allow to air dry.
3️⃣ Avoid handling birds unless necessary. If you do handle them wear disposable gloves.
4️⃣ Keep pets (including pet birds) away from sick or dead wild birds as a standard precaution.
