Ivy & Rue live for that competition, but Willow is not so sure. Personalities can vary widely for Aussies. Some things are universal, they are intuitive, intelligent, and beautiful dogs with a lot of energy who generally need some kind of job.
Some can be very dominant/assertive while others more submissive/observational in the presence of other dogs. They can range from being outgoing/fearless to being very VERY sensitive around people. Some are naturally obsessed with the ball and driven to compete while others just don’t care that much. Some LOVE to meet and play with other new dogs while others prefer their personal space and don’t want stranger dogs in their face (I don’t want stranger humans in my face so I get that). It’s important to get to know and understand your dogs personality types, and their individual social and emotional needs. A lot of how you approach training, playing, and navigating the world will depend on it.
School is out, I got my little sidekick back.
