THRILL RIDE is still looking for his next home!! They don’t come much quieter than him, he’s a well traveled pro & nothing bothers him!

I constantly get messages asking for QUIET & SAFE projects & here he is! Don’t look past him just because of his plain color, he has an excellent temperament & does everything a good horse should do. He will make a wonderful riding horse for any discipline & would do great with a junior/ammy rider under trainer guidance.

⭐️ THRILL RIDE - 6 year old (coming 7) approx. 16.3hh bay gelding.

This sweet & quiet boy is looking for his new home away from the track. He is extremely quiet, gentle, & easy to ride/handle. He will be a very easy restart for someone & would do great with an ammy/Jr rider. He has spent time at my own farm & he can live out 24/7 with no problems & he loves his gelding buddies. He does require front shoes as he doesn’t do great barefoot. He does have minor osselets, but is retiring sound & should have no major limitations in his next career (maybe not an upper level eventer/show jumper prospect).

I am very confident he’ll make someone a very easy & no drama kind of riding horse. He is incredibly kind & sweet as can be! If you’re looking for a solid, honest & trustworthy project he is the boy for you!

* Super nice mare that’s been off the track for 3 months & lightly restarted!

⭐️ ALQWANI aka Qwin is a sweet-tempered 5yo 17.3h (sticked!) mare who has been lightly restarted (around 10 rides). Her last race was on 9/4/2023. She is athletic, willing, has beautiful uphill conformation, and exceptional gaits. She is sensible under saddle but needs time to think about requests. On her first ride she walked around on the buckle. Qwin has excellent bone and will take up even the longest leg. She has walked, trotted, cantered, and gone over ground poles under saddle. She is excellent for the farrier (including hot shoeing), vet, and chiropractor. Qwin reserves her mare-ish moments (ear action only) to being saddled and blanketed. She does not have any vices. Qwin has been turned out alone and in a mixed herd with no issues. She would probably do best with group turnout. She’s happy in her stall. She currently has four shoes but we expect she will be comfortable in fronts only after she has been off the track for awhile and new hoof quality has grown in, or she could be barefoot in a non-performance home. She is a good (not picky!) eater and loves her hay. Qwin has some arthritic changes in her knees so she would be best as a lower level prospect or as a broodmare. No known prior injuries, PPEs are welcome.

This boy is cute as can be & has the personality to go along with it. He LOVES attention & is always in your pocket looking for treats & pets. He is very easy to be around & should be a very straight forward restart for someone. Retiring sound but SLOW, he broke his maiden but has not hit the board otherwise. Has never had a soundness issue throughout his career, & has very clean legs. This is a super cute boy that will be a wonderful riding horse for someone. He will do well in any discipline!

⭐️ LUCKY’S LANE - 3 year old, 16hh gelding by Lookin at Lucky out of a Bellamy Road mare

- Last raced 9/3
- NOT retstarted, he has had a week of letdown time at the farm
- 1 owner his whole career, I can give you a full history on him

Lucky is a very straight forward horse under saddle, he has never given any problems to his riders. He should be very easy to restart, & has already began being letdown. He gets along great with other geldings, good in a stall, no vices. Retired very sound & has clean legs.

I’ve said it once & I’ll always say it, I LOVE a warhorse! He has proved he can stay sound through 91 races & 7 years of training. His connections are now ready to let him enter his retirement & find a new job. He’s super quiet, & an old pro who loves his job. He will make someone a fantastic sport horse!

I groomed this one last fall so I know a lot about her, she’s easy to handle & get along with. She is not mare-ish & I think will be very easy to get going into a second career. She’s retiring sound, clean legs, & has no vices. She’s a very unique color, it’s pretty rare for a TB to be this dark!

⭐️ FEEDING FRENZY - 4 year old, 16.1 gelding by Lemon Drop Kid

This is one of our horses, we’ve had him his whole career so I can tell you everything about him. He also spent all winter at my house! He’s very gentle & easy going, he’ll make a great riding horse for any discipline. He’s ammy/JR friendly, he is as quiet as they come on the track. He is 100% sound.

He has no injuries, no vices, no maintenance, is happy outside & gets along great with others. Never got buddy sour when he was separated from his friends.

This a super cool horse, somebody will be so lucky to have him!

This is an old Berndt horse, he got claimed from us last year.

4 year old gelding, just a hair under 16.1 hh

Harmon is a bit of a shy guy, but will warm up to you once he gets to trust you. He’s always been this way, even when he was in our barn. He’s the kind of horse that would thrive with one rider/handler. He is retiring sound with clean legs, but he is a bit body sore so turnout time would be great for him. Experienced rider/handler only at this time!

⭐️ CALICO JOE - 5 year old, 16.1 1/2hh gelding by Shackleford

Calico is trained by my dad so I can tell you everything there is to know about him. He was at my farm all fall/winter last year and gets along great in a herd & was happy to be outside 24/7, but is also happy coming in to a stall. He’s very easy to handle & nice to be around. He has a lot of go to him so would excel in a consistent riding program. Has never offered any naughty behaviors. He’s retiring sound with clean legs & no injuries.

Journey has enjoyed 2 1/2 months of letdown time at the farm & is ready to begin a new career. He is your typical gelding, very quiet and super easy to be around! He will be an easy restart & is suitable for a jr/ammy under supervision. We brought him back into the track to get him cleaned up & find him a new home. He retired sound, he is currently barefoot & tender footed on the road/gravel so he definitely will need front shoes once he starts riding again.

Well it’s official, the cutest boy ever TIZZY TANTRUM arrived at his new home last night. I am so excited to see him develop into a riding horse & am so very happy that he ended up with such great people & a beautiful farm to live at!

SUMMER COUNTRY arrived in Pennsylvania yesterday & today he is out hacking around for his post track ride #1 with another horse of ours from years back WHERE’S OLIVER!

This is their 3rd Berndt Racing Retiree to end up on their farm. I appreciate repeat customers so much!!

⭐️ EDISON’S TERROR

Unfortunately with racing or any sport for that matter comes occasional injuries, so from the advice from our vet she has retired with only 1 career start. She will be rehabbing the next 60 days & should make a full recovery! We have donated her to a wonderful program where she will be sent off to college this fall for an OTTB retraining program that is offered to students for the semester.

Goodluck at college lil mama! She sure is a tiny girl but full of sass 😜

Sadly I am offering this sweet boy up for a new home, as I am short on time & financially cannot afford 3 personal horses. I called dibs on him months ago & quickly fell in love with his sweet personality. We sent him to our farm 3 weeks ago for retirement & I planned on restarting him this fall, but I have decided it is best if he find a new 🏡.

He is only 3 & is a very tall boy, approx 16.3 & lanky. He needs to grow into his body & will be so beautiful once he fills out. He is a hard keeper & NEEDS calories, so if you can’t provide 24/7 quality grass/hay & grain he is not the horse for you. Retired a bit body sore but has clean legs & no injuries. He is not conformationlly correct, as he is over at the knees in both front legs. This has not limited his performance & our vet says this will not limit him in any future disciplines either. He’s super gentle & will be an easy restart for someone.

This is a tough decision as I really do love this horse, so only the best of homes will be considered.
