Hey everyone! Our phones went down for about 4 hours today. WOW came out and worked on it and the phone seems to be fixed now….. However… (there’s always that one thing right?)

The voicemail can not be accessed at this time and we will have to get that fixed tomorrow. We are sure there are many voicemails that we can’t get to, and we don’t want anyone to think we aren’t returning their calls. If you left a message either shoot me a message here or call us back tomorrow! So sorry for tbe inconvenience!

Hey ladies and gents, this is Shelley. Just wanted to let you all know I will not be at the shop for the next several days. My daughter, Sydney, is having sinus surgery this morning and I will be home caring for her. If you need to make or change an appointment with me, you can message me here or call the shop and leave me a message. I am a bit of a control freak and like to book all my own appointments! In all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday's, we didn't stop to give a big Happy Tails welcome to James, the newest groomer to join our team.

James has been grooming for a little over 2 1/2 years and he has definitely worked to polish his grooming skills in such a short amount of time. He specialized in poodles and doodles, but is very capable of handling any and all breeds. If you are interest in learning more about him and his work, please feel free to call and ask to speak with him by name!

Hey everyone, first thank you for all the messages and prayers. Covid has really kicked my butt, but I think I have finally turned the corner thanks to the monoclonal antibody treatment I received on Tuesday. I am still struggling with the coughing and I’m really weak but beginning to feel better. I don’t know my return date back to work. I have a feeling this is going to be a process and I don’t want to overdo it. I appreciate your patience but also understand if you can’t wait on me. Much love to you all! ❤️ Shelley

Update:
Thank you to everyone that has messaged and said prayers for me and my family. The kids are doing okay. Chainey and I are pretty sick. We have wonderful friends and family that are bringing us everything we need. We are just taking it one day at a time and doing what the doctors tell us. Hopefully, we will start feeling much better soon. Thank you again for all the love and prayers.

Good afternoon Happy Tails Family. Unfortunately, Shelley tested positive for Covid this morning. We will be closing the shop for the rest of the week to make sure the rest of our staff are well.

As for now, all of Shelley’s appointments for the next 2 weeks are cancelled and her expected return date is 9/27.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenging times.

I don’t usually make sad posts, but today was a hard day. This sweet boy crossed the rainbow bridge today. I’ve been grooming Max since I started managing Happy Tails in 2012. I was so excited to get to do a real “Westie” groom, instead of the short summer clips I usually did for most Westies.

Max loved squeaky toys. When we were at the old location, I used to keep a basket of them and every time he came in for a groom he would pick one out…. Even if the basket was hidden, he would find them! He could kill a squeaker in record time. So every year for Christmas I would get him a new toy to destroy.
To say that he was a favorite is an understatement and I’m so sad I won’t see him again. I really do get attached and love these babies… this is the hard part. As sad as I am, I know that his family is heartbroken and will miss him terribly. Please say a little prayer for them tonight.
I hope there are indestructible squeaky toys in heaven Max.

In an effort to better protect our customers and staff, we will be going back to curbside service starting on Monday, August 30, 2021. Please call when you arrive and we will come out to get your pet from the car.
With the current surge of Covid in our area, we think this is the best way we can protect everyone and stay open to serve our clients.
