Last year was our first year hosting a gingerbread house decorating day and it was so much fun! We had tables full of frosting, decorating bits, and of course the houses themselves. Guests of all ages were diving into making creatively decorated houses. We are not sure if it was the children or adults who had more fun. Either way, you won't want to miss this years event.

Join us Saturday November 9th from 11:00am-2:00pm to decorate a gingerbread house and a seasonal soup buffet.

We hosted a Cub Scout group for an evening filled with planting, learning, and a whole lot of fun! Armed with headlamps, drills, and mini augers, these young environmentalists got their hands dirty planting native plants that will help support our local ecosystem.

After all that hard work, the Scouts came inside for a well-deserved snack and learned about why native species are so important for our environment.

Big thanks to our Cub Scout friends for making this a memorable experience. We love sharing hands-on educational moments that inspire our future caretakers of the earth!

Our Farm to School program has been buzzing with activity! This month, the kids are diving into the world of microgreens—learning how to grow them, how they can even be a fresh food option for astronauts in space, and enjoying the nutritional benefits of Brassicas (Vitamin C & K). They’ve also been munching on delicious Harvest Salads featuring fresh Brussels Microgreens grown right here at Nourish. It’s been a joy to see the students engaged in hands-on learning and understanding the importance of fresh, local produce.

We’re excited to share that Nourish Farms is one of eight organizations in Wisconsin to receive the DATCP grant! This funding will allow us to expand our “Farm to School” program, adding a 72x30 hoop house to extend our growing season (March–December) and host 22 more field trips with Sheboygan South and Central High Schools.

Our expanded program will:
🌱Reach 600 more students from Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan, and Plymouth districts.
🌱Offer hands-on education in farming, gardening, composting, and cooking.
🌱Provide equitable access for low-income schools.
🌱Inspire youth with life skills and exposure to career opportunities in agriculture.

We’re thrilled to continue growing both food and knowledge in Sheboygan County!
