Thank you to all who supported our 23rd Annual Hogs Dice Run! It was perfect weather and a beautiful ride through North Central WV.

Our High Roller was Tom Wetzel with 111. He donated part of his winnings back in Honor of Traci & Grump who work hard every year to put on this event for the HSHCWV.

Our Low Roller was Dustin Kisner with a score of 69.

We still have a limited supply of shirts left so will be selling those off.

We have the following Raffle Baskets that still need claimed. Please contact the shelter or stop out with your ticket stub. We are open 7 days a week - 8-330 to pick up.

To honor Veterans Day this year, members of the Shinnston American Legion Post's 31 and 13 volunteered their time and energy working side-by-side with Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center Staff to exchange our driveway flags from the standard size to larger 6x10 American Flags. During the year, there are two times in which the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (Voluntary) exchange our driveway Flags for larger sizes-- Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The larger Flags will valiantly fly until November 15th at which time, the flags will again be exchanged back to the regular size. If you would like to participate with us in future flag exchanges or any other volunteer opportunities, please contact Michael White at (304)623-3461 ext. 3669.

The 24th annual Hogs For Dogs Dice Run will be in memory of Cathy a longtime Biker and Animal Lover , Kat will be missed

Cathy Lea Satterfield, 67, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Gensis Healthcare Tygart Center. She was born September 22, 1956 in Fairmont, the daughter of Wanda Eddy Haught and the late James Wilford Haught. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Carter “Satch.....
