Employee of the Month (April)
β¨π Employee of the Month πβ¨ Marinna was April's employee of the month. Marinna has gone above and beyond to help out our reception team. There are days when the phone calls can be overwhelming and Marinna jumps right in to help answer the calls even though she may be busy in her own department. Even though Marinna may not always feel comfortable answering the phones, she does it anyway; this shows how committed she is to our team and to helping others. Congrats!
Ginger received a deluxe pedicure today courtesy of Dr. Buchanan β¨π
Ginger presented with hyperkeratosis, a condition in which the paw pads become crusted and thickened. A Dremel and some Vaseline later, this is the result! π€©
Isn't Coco the cutest little bean you've ever seen? She spent the afternoon with us after her spay and was the object of everyone's affection π₯° this is standard for every pet that walks through our doors, though πβ€οΈ
It's a bird! It's a plane! No...it's Austin! Helping us get our exercise this afternoon βΊ
Athena, Anya, and Cleo playtime
Our Help Save Pets girls are still looking for their forever homes! We know they're out there, we just need your help to find them. Please share and ask others to do the same; these ladies deserve it! β€οΈ
Willow β€οΈ peanut butter
Did you notice it? π Neither did Willow! We strive to make all visits, especially new puppy/kitten visits, as stress-free as possible to minimize and/or prevent negative associations and reactivity due to nervousness. Peanut butter is a go-to for easing exam nerves, and a favorite amongst our patients! ππ₯
Our animal companions get bored just like we do and boredom often leads to undesirable behaviors (you know what they say about idle hands..errβ¦paws?) A healthy enrichment plan could help curb these behaviors and is relatively easy to devise! For example, for both dogs and cats, cycle through toys you already have. Take ones that are no longer of interest and hide them away for a while. Alternate between the toys that are offered and the toys that are hidden to prevent disinterest, particularly when pets are home alone. Our soon-to-be-adoptable Beetlejuice prefers his enrichment in a more sedentary style. What do you do to exercise your petβs mind?
