Thank you to one of our favorite cat ladies for all the toys and canned cat food. We appreciate you so much! ❤️❤️

On a different note we are extremely low or out of dry cat and dog food. If you could drop off a bag we and the animals we help take care of would really appreciate it. Any brand will work. Drop off can be any weekday (except today, closed for Labor Day) at Hope House, 762 Austen Place, Shreveport, La. 71101 from 7am - 3pm.

The picture on the left shows how much food we have made up for today. It will be gone before the day is over. On the right is a picture of where we store food. There is only one bag of cat food left. We have no dog food other than what is on the shelves. If you could donate a bag of dry cat or dog food we would really appreciate it.

Every person that comes into our office receives a handout. First and foremost on that handout is the cover sheet about spay/neuter. That is still a work in progress for our city and parish but we have to start somewhere. The overpopulation of animals in our area is absurd!!
Education is very important to us as an organization and to inform our community of things they may not know.

We have had so many donations brought in lately. A couple of awesome guys brought in bagged food for their community service hours for school. Lot’s of people dropped of food and other supplies. We appreciate all of you so much.
Sorry I didn’t post until now. My personal dog was sick and had to be put to sleep so I was a little preoccupied with that. Sorry.
You all make such a difference in the lives of the pups and kitties we help. ❤️❤️

Seven gorgeous pups came in today to either get started on their puppy shots or to get their follow up vaccines.

Four sweet pups came in today to take advantage of our vaccination clinic. Three got their yearly booster and 1 finished up his puppy shots.

What a great day! Look at all these harnesses that were delivered! We appreciate you all so much. There is such a need with animal organizations in our area that we try not to ask for much but when we do you always come through! Thanks to everyone of you that ordered a harness for us. We are using the donation from the Krewe of Barkus & Meoux to order some large harnesses which we were in desperate need of. We ordered the style below because they were such a great deal. The only thing is we could only order in the color black (not a problem) and only order 1 (big problem because we needed multiples). We ordered some of another design but these were cheaper, only 12.75 for a black, large harness.
If there is any way anyone could order 1 for us we would be glad to reimburse you. Like we said there is a limit of one per order so we could only get 1 at this awesome price. Thank you so much!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Krewe of Barkus & Meoux Coronation. Congratulations to the incoming royals. In a few weeks they will be drawing for the animal royalty. Watch their page for details. Your pet could be a King, Queen, Princess, or Prince!

Three awards were given to 3 local animal organizations and we are proud to say we were one of them. Thank you so much Krewe of Barkus and Meoux for your recognition of the work animal organizations do in our area.

This cutie came in this morning to get her 5-1 vaccination. She couldn’t come on our regular vaccination day. We try to accommodate you if you can’t make a regular day but you have to message us on the page and let us know. We can do them any other day we are at the office. Today Curtis girl and our namesake Nova came back home to be with her Dad. We were able to get him the necklace you see with her ashes so she will always be with him.

We put out a plea for dog food recently. Two businesses that always come through for us are Hollywood Feed and Tractor Supply Co. in Greenwood, Louisiana. The donation you see pictured below came from Tractor Supply. We posted Hollywood Feeds donation earlier.
Both of these businesses are so community oriented and are always giving back. Their staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Please give your business to them. They deserve it!
