Table Rock Ogilthorpe “Ogie” RDX, pending AKC approval earned his last pass to receive his Master Hunt title. Thank you to Geri Orta and Greg Bauer for all the hard work to get this test going. Thank you to Shaun and Kathy Hall for hosting the event on their great property. Just great hanging and judging with truly amazing people. Also, for my wife Leah that supports all this crazy dog stuff.

Had the opportunity to host an Invitational training day in Washington. Had a group of dedicated folks come from MT, Canada, ID, OR and WA to gather and train for the test. Made a lot of great connections, and I now have a bunch of people and dogs to root for in September. Thank you to all that participated and the great volunteers that helped to support these handlers. Also, a great group of UT handlers joined and Brandon Smith helped support these folks. Great weekend, Great dogs and good friendships made.

This Jaeger x Biscuit pup is looking for a home. Check out Chestnut Ridge Chestnut Ridge Bird Dogs. For my West Coast friends, this pup is on the East Coast, but flying with a pup is not that bad.

The 23-24 hunting season is wrapping up. What a great year I had with the dogs. Ripsnorter's Shoot and Miss "Noonan" UT 1 X 2 (204 and 201), Master Hunter Advanced, RDX (Retriever Dog Excellent) and NSTRA Amateur Champion and VC Saddle Rocks Paint it Black "Jaeger" Master Hunter Advance, RDX, and NSTRA Amateur Champion are just awesome dogs to hunt behind and make me look good. They just are wild bird finding machines. Table Rock's Ogilthorpe "Ogie" RDX and Sharpshooter's He's a righteous dude "Bueller" are really coming into their own and really had a great season. The pics are a summary of a great season with Sharptail, Pheasants, Valley Quail, Huns, Chukars, Scoters, Mallards, Redheads, Ring bills, Teal, Widgen, buffleheads, spoonbills and Sandhill Crane just this year. I am so blessed to have great dogs and wonderful people to hunt with.

Ran the dogs in the German Shorthair Pointer water test. Noonan, Jaeger and Ogie all earned their RDX title. The test is a triple mark, with the first bird at 40 yards through decoys, 60 yards on a shot bird, and 20 yards. This is followed by a 50 yard blind retrieve.

Noonan “Ripsnorter's Shoot and Miss” is now a UT prize 1 204, MHA (master hunter advanced- first Pudelpointer in history), Retriever Dog Excellent (RDX- first Pudelpointer), NSTRA Amateur Champion, and NW NSTRA Amateur high point dog 2022.

Jaeger “Saddlerock's Paint it Black “ is a Versatile Champion (VC) , master hunter advanced (MHA), NSTRA Amateur champion and Retriever Dog Excellent (RDX)

Ogie, “Table Rock Kennels Ogilthorpe” has 4 Master Hunter legs so far and is a Retriever Dog Excellent (RDX).

Bueller “Sharp Shooter's He’s a Righteous Dude “ has earned his Retriever Dog (RD).

Kudos to Cross Timber Gundogs and David Gutowski for earning a 110 Prize 1!!!! This is the fifth pup to test out of the Sage Prize 1 201 x Noonan Prize 1 204, MHA, NSTRA Amateur Champ and NW NSTRA 2022 High Point Amateur dog. Thank you David and Jack!!!! So far all the pups tested have earned a prize 1 (Three 112, one 110 and one 107.

Table Rock's Ogie Olgilthorpe working on his duck search. He is a dynamic little dog. Hard charging in the field, easy to train, and loving in the house. He has one leg of AKC master and will be tested in UT next summer. Can't wait to hunt wild birds over this little machine.

Evergreen's Reba, a Noonan pup ran UT at 17 months old and earned a prize II. This dog has yet to be forced and just tore up the duck search. Thank you Steve and Leslie for putting the time in to this great dog. Excellent drive and super people oriented. This dog is going to be special.

Agate Hills - Koosa a Noonan pup earned a NA Prize 1 last week. What a great little dog. Wonderful personality, excellent prey drive, nice water work and outstanding range. Very excited to see this pup develop. Nice work Derek.

Totally blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest, a place that has an excellent NAVHDA chapter, great AKC hunt tests, AKC field trials and NSTRA. I had a great weekend at my 3rd NSTRA Trial, Sagebrush Shootout, hosted by Donaye Smith. The dogs did exceptionally well and I was truly humbled by their performance. Jaeger (GSP) took a 1st place overall and 1st place amatuer. Noonan "Ripsnorter's Shoot and Miss" (Pudelpointer) totally rocked it, and took a 2nd place overall, 3rd place overall, 4th place overall, 1st place amatuer, and three 2nd place amatuer placements.

Thank you Three Rivers Bird Dog Club for hosting the NSTRA Trial, Hunt Test and Field Trial. Great group of people.

Noonan earned his AKC Master Hunter Advanced Title today. I believe he is now the first Pudelpointer in history to earn a Master Hunt title and Master Hunter Advanced title. He has just been a great dog that loves to work and hunt.

Jaeger ran in a Field Trial this weekend. He ran Amateur Gun Dog and Open Gun Dog. He placed 4th in Amateur and 2nd in Open. Congrats to Shaun Hall took first. Just fun being out and hanging with great people.

Rip (9 months old), this Jaeger X Bella pup ran this weekend and earned his Jr. hunt title. This first time handler did a great job and glad this pup landed in such a good home. Have to admit, this dog is quite the looker.

Ran Noonan and Jaeger in my first NSTRA field trial. Noonan placed 3rd in his first and my first test. Both dogs ran well, but this was more of Noonan's game. He ran very hard and probably would have done better without me running him. Learned a lot about running in these events and met some great folks, in a very different dog community than the ones I usually participate in. These folks were passionate about their dogs, NSTRA events and supporting new handlers such as myself. Thank you to the mentors, Three Rivers Bird Dog Club that hosted the event, and the other handlers. Great weekend, great event and great people, see you in the fall after the Invitational.

Ripsnorter's Shoot and Miss MH, UT 1 (204). What a great dog. His personality typifies the breed, friendly, goofy, fun-loving and very smart. Noonan exemplifies trainability, at 24 month old he became a UT 1 (204) and the next day the first pudelpointer in AKC history to become a master hunter (MH). Noonan was backing, and steady to wing, shot and fall at 8 months old. He is a dog with strong desire and excels in both the field and water. Best of all, he is a joy to have in the house, mellow and loving, this couch potato turns it on fully in the field.

VC Saddle Rock's Paint it Black MHA, Call name Jaeger. Jaeger has been on of those "once in a lifetime dogs". He is extremely smart and eager to please thus very easy to train. His biddability is off the chart. He has a cannon of a nose and excels at pinning birds down, for hunters to always get an opportunity. In the house, he is very calm and loving.
