My father and I just got done making a new Batch of Shubel Dry Food. This food can now ship with my fish order or separately. It's $22 per pound which is about $1.30 per oz. I can't remember the last time I looked through my projects and tanks of fish in general and so drastically eliminated ones that were a distraction diverting my attention and tank space away from my best fish and old tried and true strains. This past weekend I did just that. Anything that wasn't developing right became predator food. Anything that has been on and off unhealthy was disposed of and the tank was sterilized. Anything of quality and value that was not a part of my long term plan was distributed or is up for being distributed. By doing this I not only am able to downsize (which will let me give better care to the fish I do keep), but also give me tank space to make the necessary crosses to maintain my best lines.
My tanks will now fill with my very best fish. Although a new strain is sometimes good to rekindle your interest in the hobby it needs to be done with extreme caution and planning. Too many line illnesses is part of the guppy bug and can take down even the most experienced breeders. It will greatly reduce your overall quality of your fish as it's hard to stay concentrated on your best and can also become too time consuming and stressful having you add more tanks than you can practically maintain. Being able to have discipline in this hobby is really the difference in being great and really successful to just simply being involved and an honorable mention on the show bench.
I have successfully cleared 24 tanks in three days for various reasons. My stock list is going down fairly quickly, but there's still some amazing fish to be had. If you're wanting fish this summer now is the time before they are gone. PM me for more information.

I kicked some butt at the show in the Chicago area this weekend. My Greens and Reds did exceptionally well taking top spots in Best of Show. My Halfblack Purples and American Purples didn't disappoint either winning in their classes. I even took a rare female with me that was a Red and l it won its class and also placed in Best of Show. A nice weekend of getting myself back on top after a very hindering heart condition took a toll on my show fish I should have had this season. I never would have guessed it, but I now have a strong lead for Grand Overall Male the most desired annual award in the IFGA.
