Sweet Gemma with the best help around 🙏 and doing so well today with her soak 💐. Btw, we moved into the farm house today 🥳🎊!! My daughter is actually sleeping in her own room right now 😵😄.

The babies went out in the front today and I opened everything up 😍🤍. I was super excited for them. Yesterday, they didn’t get to go outside because of the rain and mud, so (especially, Eury) they were raring to go. Belle did so well walking all the way to the front with my husband. At first I was leading Belle and, Eury didn’t like not being the leader, so my husband had to bring her up to the front 🤭. Then, Eury didn’t want to be lead through the mud/water (but she actually loves playing in water 🙄🤣), so then we switched. Belle, however, still is cautious with water and she did soooo amazing. Gemma has had an abscess developing for some time (not quite an abscess yet), so the vet came out as soon as possible and she is being treated and already feeling much better 🙏. Nairobi has been very happy, so that’s lovely too 🫰. I love to look at and watch my horses being horses 💐♥️. Yesterday, I finally broke a nail hahaha. I’m usually careful, but you know, and of course Belle was the one who managed to do it 😅.

Janbein Equestrian Center’s, Enkare Nairobi, travelled for oocyte collection again this week and we were able to get 15 (!!) aspirated from her this time 🤍. 14 of the 15 matured, so I went with 7/7 for each stallion. Hopefully, this time we are successful and she won’t have to go up again 🙏.

I guess I’m not that great at before pictures either 😅😇. However, working on a farm (especially owning one) there’s always work to be done, so the other day I decided to tidy up the manure area since we got it cleared out and there were tire tracks and manure/shavings all over the place. I like to keep the property looking good 😄. Also, I’m always making rounds around the property finding all types of things I need to pick up and throw away because we have nice wind from the trees, and it’s been taking a toll on my stomach, but yesterday I found another nail in Gemma’s run, so it’s good I looked. Hopefully, won’t be finding anymore nails. The other day I also did a nice cleaning of our temporary feed room and the tack room. I cleaned our outside bathroom as well, since that needed cleaning from the flooding, but I still need to go over it more. Nairobi is home and doing well and was being very protective of me and wanting lots of cuddles and hugs 🥰🥰🥰🥰♥️. I’m so glad she’s feeling herself and is home safe and sound 🎉. 9/13 of Nairobi’s oocytes matured and I decided to do 5 of them with the Stallion Secret and 4 with the Stallion Commil Champ Z. Fingers crossed 🤞!!

Euryphaessa JEC and Tinker Bell ISF 😍❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥💐!! Yesterday, I took Eury to the wash rack and gave her a nice hose down. I was thinking of giving her, her first bath, but since it was her first time using this wash rack, I chose not to. Plus, Belle wasn’t sure if Eury was ever coming back 😩🙄😂. I did, however, use a soaking wet towel on her face and squeeze the water out like if I was using a sponge. I’ve used wet towels on her face before, but this was new and she did very well!! Nairobi heard how Belle was reacting and had to come inside and check on her baby ♥️. It’s so nice to be loved and wanted like that. My sweet girlls!! Belle is still not fond of water, so I’ve been taking a wet towel and rubbing it down on her and she’s surprisingly good around her face and ears. Belle absolutely loves attention 🥰🤍. She’s very smart and has opened up a lot since coming to JEC. She even lets me spray her with fly spray. I didn’t think we would have gotten to the fly spraying part as quickly as we did. The first time I tried, it was a no go 😅. I’m a little nervous to start teaching her to tie, but I don’t think I’ll start yet. She’s not ready until she gains more of my trust. Everyone got vaccines today, so they are inside for the night! Plus, Eury has this thing where she is jumping paddocks if she’s not in the same pasture as Belle 🙃. She has jumped out of a paddock before when she was 2 months, but I don’t want her getting that habit, so every night I put them both inside. Second picture is of the babies watching us eat on the porch and wanting to come eat with us 🤭😂😍😍.

Janbein Equestrian Center’s horses are settled into their new stables 🤍🌹. Belle was not very happy about being separated from Eury, so after giving grain, I opened both of their runs for the night. Nairobi likes to spend a lot of her time in her stall, but does go out in her run to eat some grass occasionally. Gemma prefers to stay outside, but she does all of her business in her stall, super convenient 😅😂. Eury also likes to spend her time outside ♥️. I am so so happy that these sweets have such comfortable stall mats and that they are finally home!! In the most beautiful barn they’ve ever been in 🙏🎉.

This is a little hard for me, but the after picture is so wonderful I had to share. The first picture is Nairobi before, and the second picture is Nairobi after with only a few days in my care. Her and her baby did get exposed to each other again coming to our new stables and there’s a lot of barns around, so she was feeling very protective. After babysitting her for awhile, she settled super fast and was fine. Super smart girl. Eury and Belle are best friends!! I’m so excited and happy for them. Eury ties for hosing and let’s me fly spray her without moving an inch, and I let Belle watch play with the brushes in the wheelbarrow, so she’s relaxed. Belle does not tie yet and is not fond of water, but I did manage to hose her off today and then again hosed her freely letting her run around and come back ♥️💐. Worked on Eury’s grain aggression extensively today and I think she’s got it lol. Bigg baby. Gemma had a nice dinner today and gave me the best mare face 😂 made me laugh, but feel good because I know she’s happy ❤️‍🔥🌹. The horses have been living outside since moving and cleaning the paddocks is a lot because they’re so big, plus the babies are back by the barn, so walking is a lot, but we all are absolutely so in love with our new home. Horses included.

I have been trying to keep this one a secret for awhile now, but I think I’ve held off long enough! I’d love to introduce to you, Janbein Equestrian Center’s newly acquired filly Tinker Bell ISF 😍🥳🥳💐! Once upon a time, I fell in love with Tinker Bell’s dam (Giselle JC). She was for sale, but ended up being kept. Now I am blessed with owning her wonderful filly by the stallion Kaiman and I’m overjoyed. When I went to visit Tinker Bell, I thought she seemed pretty focused considering there was a lot going on and that she didn’t know me. She was very willing and I’m super excited to work with her. I also met her sire and didn’t take any pictures!! 🙃😫 Kaiman was breathtaking and an amazingly well behaved stallion. His eyes were beautiful. Fun Fact: my mare Nairobi was also called Tinker Bell as a foal 🤭😍. Her dam was named Belle. Which is what Tinker Bells barn name will be!! You have a lovely place Iron Spring Farm! The horses are so well taken care of and the people are lovely. My daughter also didn’t want to leave 🤣.

Janbein Equestrian Center finally has its own facility now 🙏♥️💐. Waiting over a year for this property was definitely so worth it. It has been a long road, but we are all so excited to move in and move our girlls here as soon as possible 😃.

Today is my daughters birthday!! 🥹🎊🎊🎊🫰💐 As soon as we woke up we tried to make the day as memorable as possible. Which included a late breakfast! In her riding lesson today she trotted for the first time and we both feel super proud about that!! She couldn’t stop talking about how she went fast on the pony ☺️☀️😇. I don’t want to discourage her from riding, so her hand positioning is not something I’m worried about. Balance is most important right now. When we move to our farm I will teach her about grabbing mane and maybe just take the reins away. We weren’t using reins before, so for her first lesson with reins, she did wonderful, however, hand positioning is something always needing adjustment.

Queen Nairobi 🎊💐. My top of the herd mare. So lucky to have her. She has therapeutic shoes on now, which has shown a drastic improvement in her mood, movement, and conformation already. She is still sore and needs ice wraps everyday, but love seeing her look/feel better!

I know I haven’t posted anything in awhile, but I’ve been super busy and I definitely want new pictures of my girlls ASAP 🥰♥️. Here is a picture of my daughter with sweet Rumor, who we all still miss very much, and Rumor has always decided children didn’t deserve the “mareish” attitude 🌹. I have been looking for my own farm for awhile now and I think soon it may become a reality!! It’s nerve wrecking!! 😅

I finally got a better movement video of my 21 year old broodmare and 12 year companion, Enkare Nairobi, with her 2023 filly, Euryphaessa JEC 💐💐💐♥️. My sweetest girlls. Nairobi’s not 100% and, actually, she’s having X-rays done again, but hopefully she’ll be good to breed again this coming breeding season. Gemma 🥹. The fanciest moving paint you’ll ever see. Here she’s having a flat day getting used to her surroundings 😃👍. This video was taken after her second day of arriving. Today, she gave a lesson to a sweet little girl and her mother said that she enjoyed herself! Gemma was being a little sassy in the lesson, however, apparently she kept that little girl entertained. The sweetest little booboo ♥️🌹. I was using a farrier recommended to me by my vet for Euryphaessa and since she couldn’t keep her shoes on, the farrier was out more often and I decided to use him for my other two horses that were due. Since then, Nairobi has been having a hard time and it took me awhile to realize it may be because of her trim. I had the vet come out and take blood tests and check her feet for laminitis and everything was fine. Yesterday, I had a farrier who I trust very much come and do some corrections on her and she was so much better after just this first session. Very happy for my old, big momma 🤍 #jecbred #janbeinequestriancenter #JEC
