Our Story
How-Lyn Acres, Inc. started in 1978 under the ownership of Linda and Howard Foster. Since June of 2010, How-Lyn Acres has been owned and operated by head-trainer, Amy Foster. Growing up on the show circuit, Amy started her career in the equitation and hunters where she won numerous awards. Amy then moved on to showing in the jumpers where she ended up competing all the way to the grand-prix level. It was not until Amy became a professional is where she found her true passion- training.
Also on staff is our assistant trainer, Hannah Tiso. Hannah was born and raised in Florida and started riding at the age of 8. Hannah recently graduated from The University of Findlay in Ohio with a bachelor’s of science degree in equine business management and also a degree in equine studies. She competed on the school’s IHSA Team for 4 consecutive years. She is also certified in Equine Sports Massage Therapy, Equine Rehabilitation therapy, Equine Thermal Imaging, Equine Muscle Taping and Equine Raindrop Therapy. Hannah has a 4-year-old mare named Naughty Ninja. Hannah has a passion for working with young horses and teaching students how to ride
At How-Lyn Acres, we are committed to providing students and horses with top quality instruction and training. We take clients of any level ranging from beginner to advanced. We have a variety of training options and boarding packages. Whether you have a problem horse, green horse, or just want to ride for fun; we will create a program to fit your needs. To accommodate all of our riders, we attend local shows through AA shows in Wellington, Venice, Ocala and Tryon depending on interest level.
