🐾 Attention all animal lovers! Hobo's Healing Heart Board needs your support! 🐾
Our small pack has outgrown our capacity to organize the paw-some 0.5K Trifecta Challenge AND carry out Board duties. After wrapping up this year's event planning, kicking off on April 28th at Crow Peak Brewing, we're already gearing up for the 2025 Trifecta Season. 🐶🏅 We need your help to make it a success from the start! 🐾
We are seeking volunteers to join our mission and assist with event planning tasks for our only fundraiser, ensuring families in the Black Hills facing financial hardship can provide their furry friends with the emergency care or dignified farewell they deserve. Let's make a difference together – one wagging tail at a time! 🐾

Born and raised in Spearfish, this is the place I have called home for the past 46 years. I can’t begin to tell you how much Spearfish has grown throughout the years, but one thing remains the same…the strong sense of community. I love where I live!
I attended Williston State College and BHSU. For the past 10 years, I have been working in the insurance industry as a licensed P&C Insurance agent. Before that I owned a preschool/daycare and taught 2nd and 3rd grade at a private school. My love for helping others has extended to volunteering for Spearfish Clothe-A-Kid, a non-profit organization that helps local families in need with the expense of school supplies and school clothes.
Along with my four amazing kids I have one fur-baby, Rambo, and one Grand-pup, Fletcher. Rambo was rescued along with his siblings from a dog fighting ring where they were to be used as bait dogs. Even though he was rescued at a young age he suffers severe anxiety. He has been with us for two years and each day I see an improvement. He has taught me so much, especially patience. I often think, 'who rescued who?'. We are hoping to add another rescue in the near future.
I feel very fortunate to be part of Hobo’s Healing Heart and to be able to help families get the care needed for their furbabies.
