Raven has the sweetest temperament! She loves everyone she meets and immediately presses her head into them so they can love on her. This weekend she met my brother and took to him so quickly! Needless to say he also fell in love with her!

Hello everyone! It has been a little while since I’ve updated you! We have been doing well! Raven has been living her best lazy couch dog life for the last 6 months while we waited for our next chance at hopefully seeing some beautiful babies! We could use all the luck right now so cross all your fingers and I’ll update again soon!!!

Sad new for us here at Petrichor Danes. As you all know we’ve been trying to breed Raven and we are sad to say this second breeding has not taken. We’ve put so much time and effort into this pairing and are heartbroken. We will be reevaluating the future but will continue showing and loving this spoiled girl.

As many of you may know we have been planning a litter! Very exciting! Although some times things don’t quite work as planned. She was bred December 21st and today we went in for our 30 day confirmation ultrasound. We were very excited and nervous, but upon beginning the scan we realized there were no puppies. We are all very sad that this breeding did not take as we have put a lot of time and effort into it. We will do another scan in 5 days just to be sure but at this point there is nothing visible. There is always next time! We will be Trying again in June! Until then we will continue going to shows and being the lazy princess we always are 😉

About to start our exciting journey!!! Raven has just completed all health testing requirements and now we are just anxiously waiting for all timing to fall into place!

Starting this page in preparation for Ravens upcoming breeding! I figured I needed a kennel name and Petrichor happens to be one of my favorite words meaning the smell of rain, so here it is raining Danes! I can’t wait to share this journey with you all!
