It feels weird to post about an amazing clinic weekend after losing the person this week that got us all here in the first place. But that’s exactly why this weekend felt so right. We had a really fun work party Friday evening where the whole barn came together and spruced the place up. Not that the place needed it because it always looks nice here, but we put a little extra shine on. Most importantly, we brought life back into it after quite a few „quiet“ weeks.
And then two days of top notch work with Terri Rocovich. She had a packed schedule and I am sure she‘s exhausted. But we appreciate you Terri and can’t wait to have you back in June.
I think Betty is happily smiling down to us that we are continuing our work, strengthening what she taught us and honoring her and her facility.

Looking forward to 2024!! So many great memories in 2023.

What a year!!! Terri Rocovich he’s been the star clinician at Liberty Grove Farm this year. She has guided us through the show season and is now helping everyone move up the level. It’s been amazing to watch everyone’s progress through the past 10 months.

Thank you to Terri Rocovich for another educational and diverse clinic. We did a ride-a-test portion for our riders heading to Region 6 championships. We had a long-line lesson with a green horse. We had cats in boot bags and everything in between. 😂

This is why we love Terri: she can teach everyone and everything.

Prayers for all in this Gray Rd fire.

We had a wonderful weekend of learning with Cindy Ishoy at the barn. The main message was “forward, forward, FORWARD!” But there were so many other amazing tips for all levels in this clinic. Cindy is an absolute gem in the Global dressage community and we are so glad we got the privilege of her time for one weekend.

A big congratulations to Chloe and Emmie who moved up to Training in the Hopeful HT in Deary, ID. Today. A nice 1st place saddle pad and ribbon to her along with the Dr. Pepper award for the lowest score for all pony clubers.

Also want to congratulate McKenna and Thomas. You both look fabulous but I didn’t receive the final placing.

Sidney and Cookie look so good together in this show. They both are riding super hard to achieve their goals. Again no placing

Congratulations to all of you! You did a great job and I’m super proud of all 3 of you!!

Another busy show weekend for Liberty Grove Farm!

A big congratulations to Abi and Lutina who were at Aspen Farms HT and won Jr Training level!! So proud of you and Lutina! Congratulations 🎉
Sarah and Athens had a tough cross country but both are fine and ready for the next event!

Meanwhile here in Spokane we spent the weekend at the beautiful Spokane Sport Horse Farm for the Fathers Day weekend dressage show.

Valerie and Pip started out the brisk Saturday morning with a very respectable T-3 ride. Came back in the afternoon with the brisk wind and Pip didn’t settle in the wind. Pip is going back to school this week!!! Your doing a great job Valerie.

Ali and Sammich rode with us this weekend instead of going Eventing! Ali had a great show and showed us the little quarter horse can do it all! Ali rode test 1-3 with a 64.8 and a 65.5 for 3rd place in each. Ali and Sam came back on Sunday and rode two very respectable tests with a 66.2 -2nd place and a 63.5-5th place. Ali qualified both days and brought home 1-3 reserve champion!! It was fun to have you join us in the sandbox this weekend! You rode beautifully.

LeeEllyn and Kobe rode 1-3 Saturday 61.9 and Sunday 61.6. Just keeping them out of the qualifying score they wanted. On Saturday they rode their first freestyle ever together, with a little nerves and a few spooks they finished center line. On Sunday LeeEllyn and Kobe rode a beautiful Freestyle for a 70.1 and 4th place. You two have come a long way, enjoy the journey, .you both are doing great!!

Gretje and Rauri rode their I-1 freestyle Saturday with a 1st place. Came back and rode I-1 on Sunday with a beautiful ride and so many more new changes to the flow. It definitely gets tougher going up the levels and you both are looking great. They also earned the Reserve Champion.

Jays and Diego rode on Saturday only at 1-3 with a lovely qualifying 63 and for her 1st ever Freestyle she rode a super fun 71.2. Jaye you did such a nice job this weekend! I knew you could do it!!

Rachelle and Hanna also rode 1-3 on Saturday 62 (qualifier) and Sunday 60. 1st time ever showing USDF show and getting a qualifying score the 1st day. I thought Hanna looked beautiful this weekend and Rachelle you are doing so well with her.

Denise and the very handsome Tjsalle came out to play Saturday with a 1-3 class and a really nice T-3 test for a qualifying score and a 3rd place. You both are doing and looking so great after your training interruptions this last few weeks, now back to work!

Lexi and Maggie only rode their freestyle this weekend because of Lexi’s hurt foot. Saturday Maggie did her own freestyle and it wasn’t as pretty as the one Lexi practiced. On Sunday both Lexi and Maggie looked so elegant and calm and had a gorgeous test. A few bobbles but moving bad. Lexi very proud of riding with only one foot and the judge didn’t notice.

Janaira and Patron rode 2-3 both Saturday and Sunday and a pair of 5th places . And on Saturday and Sunday rode their really fun freestyle with a very nice 67.8 on the freestyle (qualifier) and a 4th place and 5 in 2-3. Patron is starting to really love his job and go places. You both were great.

Congratulation to each and everyone of you for being great team players and enjoying your equine partners.

5th weekend in a row for horse shows. So we get to watch clinics the next couple of weekends. Feel free to join us this weekend for Terri Rocovich at LGF.

Sunday was LGF’s last day at Devonwoods Ginny Ratner Memorial CDI.
What a great show and the facility was beautiful.

To finish up the last ride of the small tour, Gretje and Rauri did not disappoint in the I1 freestyle. Another 2nd place. It was so fun to watch them ride their 1st CDI together and even more fun to remember their great journey to get here. Congratulations Gretje and I hope there are many CDI’s for you in the future.

LeeEllyn and Kobe finished up there last day with the best test of the show and ended in 3rd place.

Reiko’s Bacon (aka Ramona Hill) was on fire again with Jessie Wisdom riding a beautiful freestyle on her for 1st place and 70%

Lexi and Maggie worked hard all weekend and ended in 1st place. They had a great show experience and did a great job.

Playing a little catch up here for our weekend here at the beautiful Devonwood Equestrian Center at the Ginny Rattner Memorial CDI show.

Reiko’s beautiful Bacon has been sizzling this weekend. Friday 2-3 69.523 and Saturday with a great Freestyle with a 70.638 ridden by Jessica Wisdom.

Lexi and Maggie rode 2-3 on Friday & Saturday in the national rings with 7’s on her halts!! Great rides both days. She rode well and had amazing light bulb moment in the warm up that carried into the classes. With three 2 -1st place and 1 - 2nd.

Gretje and Rauri are riding the CDI small tour here at Devonwood starting with Prix St George on Friday with a 3rd place and moved on to I1 today with a great 2nd place. They are going great and it has been a great experience.

LeeEllyn and Kobie have had a few monsters in the rings National rings and have handled it quite well and have had some amazing moments. They have got two 2nd places and a lot of miles.

Great job ladies. Proud of each of you and your hard work.

A big thank you to Jan Ebeling, who gave his all this weekend to sharpen up our skills and get us prepared for show season. He gave us a plethora of tips and tricks for test riding and worked with each pair to get the absolute best out of horse and rider.

It’s a long trip for him these days since he moved to Wellington, FL. But we are so grateful he took the long trip to come up here to help us.
