Playing the 1-2-3 Find It game with dogs in my care allows them to use natural behaviors like foraging for food. This is a favorite game of most of my clients' dogs because it makes an otherwise boring neighborhood walk become a fun, stimulating adventure to sniff and search for little pieces of kibble hidden in grass and under bushes.
As soon as I say 1-2-3, their attention snaps to me, because they know that a SniffVenture is coming!

Today I watched a TikTok about keeping a dog entertained inside when outside is too cold/icy/snowy.

I implemented those suggestions today and now my dog is passed out on my bed like a dead fish. Mission accomplished.

What's your dog's most highly valued treat? My dog goes BONKERS for rotisserie chicken.

High value treats are great to use when training your dog to recall (come when called), especially outside where all interesting stuff is!

Can you tell when your dog says "Yes! More pets, please!" and "I'm not enjoying pets right now. Maybe later"? This is a great video discussing such body language that your dog may be using to "talk" to you.

Listening to your dog and asking permission before you pet your dog can strengthen the trust your dog has for you and your relationship with them.

We can take them for an early 30-minute walk ($23) earlier in the day or, if you choose a 1-hour SniffVenture, we will drive to a nearby wooded park for a longer stroll in the shade.
