SPCA Florida's $45 Cat Spay And Neuter Program Open To All Income Levels!

SPCA Florida is thrilled to announce the removal of all income restrictions on our $45 spay/neuter services for owned cats. Anyone with a pet cat that needs a spay or neuter can now call our medical center to make an appointment and only pay $45.

By reducing the amount of animals coming into Polk County shelters, we can end the needless euthanasia of so many cats.

Ellie is a sweet, 2 years old, intact female, 42lbs, & HW negative. She is a quiet girl who appears to have had a rough life. She was picked up as a stray & is getting to know what it means to receive the proper care she deserves. Her skin is not in any condition for surgery so a foster home where she can decompress and get healthier would be great. She walks very slow and is not potty trained, so she needs someone with time and patience. She has not reacted to any of the dogs or cats she has seen in the shelter so far when passing by. Ellie would have a difficult time walking upstairs or getting on a high bed or couch but is fine to be carried whenever it is needed. She loves her food and treats and will rummage around to find more if given the chance but loves to spend time napping in her crate. If you can help her, please let us know.

Morgan & Gabby were owner surrendered to us after one owner died and the other is no longer able to care for them.

Morgan is 6yrs old, neutered, 48lbs and heartworm negative. Gabby is 6yrs old, spayed, and 51.6lbs. Couldn’t obtain blood for Gabby’s heartworm test.

The owner said that both dogs have had skin issues since they were puppies and have attempted to treat them multiple times. The owner said that they had not been to a vet in a few months when the other owner became sick.

Morgan & Gabby had been at large, and Morgan was picked up on the 13th by Animal Control and when they went the next day to try to catch Gabby they found the owner. Morgan has had an exam, and he has severe flea allergy dermatitis, hair loss and red skin. He didn’t allow them to examine his ears. Gabby has not been seen by the vet yet but the intake team notated possible masses on Gabby. Medical enclosed.
