A taxidermist is an artist of sorts, though most people don’t readily recognize them as such. They prepare the animals in the necessary way and then work to restore them so that they look lifelike. This is a form of artistry and therefore requires a certain level of skill and experience.

He’s the last I will mount for a while. I’m completely out of room. Starting finish work to make room for the remaining Nov/Dec deer.

The next set of deer I will be posting are freshly mounted. Visible pins, plastic in their nostrils, and a wet appearance are all signs of this.

Guys, I’m turning these last few deer around right at 11 months. I average about a 9 month turnaround. It all depends on when you get them to me.

Please remember, that a beautiful mount starts with you and how you treat your harvest from the moment you walk up on it in the field!!!
