Last outdoor trial for SAG in the books! We had a GREAT Toys for Tots fundraiser. Our generous competitors and sponsors allowed us to raise over 11,000 dollars that will be donated to our local Toys for Tots Chapter in Everett that will provide joy for local children this upcoming holiday season. We had FIVE NADAC judges who donated their time and run fees and NADAC donated their run fees so all of that money could be donated. Jayne Walker, after serving as Raffle Queen this weekend, has posted a zillion photos of the event - decor, raffle, silent auction, silly games and DOGS! That big check will be delivered to Miss Mary when the BCs and I return from NADAC Championships in October.

High in Trial Awards went to: Intro - Newton & Nathan Zabel, Novice - Mertz & Sam Lietz, Open - Flame & Pam Kaye, Elite - Pickle & Mike Mason, and Elite Vet Dog - Freddie & Arlene Courtney.

Thanks to all who donated, judged, ran dogs and helped! You ROCK!

Puppy Pool (or Puddle) Party SAG trial clean up crew (after a few pudding shots - thank you Nancy Roller! Yes it was wet, wild and wonderful to play with our pups. The field drained nicely which allowed us to SAFELY run our dogs and celebrate the little & big accomplishments. Congrats to Courtney Roller and Breeze on their very first NATCH and VNATCH on a Chances course that Courtney said they would never get - and then Breeze says "hold my beer and watch me" as she "breezed" through not just the one Qualifying run she needed but BOTH. High in Trial awards for Roo with Mnc Carter in Intro, Mertz & Sam Marilynn Kay Lietz in Novice, Pickle & Mike Mason in Elite and our Alaskan Scott & Bolt for Elite Vet Dog. In addition Tina & Trapper won our special "You Tried" award and Mike & Vito got the "Go with the Flow" award. We appreciated have Arlene Courtney providing courses and arm waving! Looking forward to September's Toys for Tots Fund Raiser NADAC trial 13-15 September.

Our August Puppy Pool Party turned onto a Puppy Puddle Party at SchaSam Farm this weekend!

The rather "cool" temps and the rain did not deter the SAG Team from putting on an excellent trial.

Congrats to all the folks who Q'D, titled and achieved their personal goals.

You may THINK you have had a great time but unless you have attended a NASDA Trial at SchaSam's The Feld, you may be missing something!

Just finished up 2 great days of fun with NASDA Field Work. It was wonderful!

Thank you you Sam Lietz for helping to sponsor the Sassy Senior Award in honor of Liesl.
Winner on Saturday was Dan and Rebel and Winner today was Lauren and Trysten from Canada!

Ryker earned 110 points in Trailing and Locating this weekend. He's working toward his next X Title. One of his runs was 7 seconds earning him 2nd place. 1st place was a 6 second run!

Barn Hunt at SchaSam closed out our trial year this weekend with a "Back To School" themed trial.

3 days of great fun with Judges Chris Benishin and Lynne Andersen judging. Full trial every day except Sunday and that day was well attended.

Lots of Qualifying ribbons given out. At least 5 RATCHX's and 2 CZ8 Clean Runs. Congrats to everyone who achieved their rattie goals!

A huge thank you to Sam for allowing us to use her beautiful property for this event. It's always a good day at SchaSam!

Just completed two days of NASDA Trials at The Feld, Sam's newest property in Mt Vernon.

Beautiful weather ♡
Great judges ♡
Safe grounds and buildings for searches ♡
Host is welcoming and offers great hospitality ♡
Efficient trial where all NASDA rules are followed ♡
Great trial atmosphere with wonderful dog/handler teams ♡

This event offered all the things: Trailing & Locating, Urban Locating, Brace, Shed and Lost Items. Sam's big property offers safe areas to "do it all".

There is so much more to say about trials at The Feld and at SchaSam Farm! Check out the NASDA Event page to join us in August. You can see for yourself how much fun it is!

Can't thank the SAG team enough for a GREAT Patriotic Puppy NADAC trial in July. What a great bunch of fun loving, hard working, crazy dog lovers! This was our 25th NADAC trial! So lift a glass (of delicious Sangria - thanks to Erin) and toast to many, many more fun times with our friends and our dogs both old and new. We had some great debut runs by Nate & Newton, Angie & Kiero, and Becca & Bailey. Keep up the happy training! Congrats to our high in trial winners - Intro Marilou & Loki, Novice Sam & Mertz, Open Pam & Flame, Elite Mike & Pickle, and Vet Elite Phil & Ziggy. Special awards went to Patti & Will, James & Diana, and Angie & Kiero! Special thanks to judge Keri Daun who brought some challenging yet flowing courses!

Back to School ALREADY!??? Yep! We are celebrating every mom and dad's favorite time of year. We are firing up the "School Of Hard Knocks" Bus and hopping on for rat finding fun!
August 9-11 are the dates. Our trial is open NOW and until July 25.
"Principals" (Judges) will be Lynne Andersen and Chris Benishin so you know the challenges will be fun.

Quick updates for SchaSam Barn Hunters this weekend:

- Confirmations have been sent with class schedules. Didn't get it? Email our trial secretary: [email protected]. Remember that schedules are subject to change! Read your premiums and review the rules for your class!

- Weather planned by Mother Nature is Friday to Sunday: Sunny to Partly Sunny in the upper 60's and lower 70's! If she stays on plan, please bring adequate shade and water for your doggies.

- Remember to SLOW DOWN in the SchaSam Parking Lot and follow all the rules on the property!

- If you are NOT a member of our Trial Committee or a Course Builder, snacks and water are provided but lunch will not be. Please bring your lunch or visit one of Stanwood's wonderful local restaurants.

- New Ribbons have arrived so we will be debuting our lovely new design and colors for SchaSam Barn Hunt Club. SchaSam Sam is back and we will also do Judges Choice Awards for Friday and Saturday. Fun raffle will be held Sunday after trial for Do OR Die Volunteers!

Last but not least:

SET UP FOR TRIAL IS SCHEDULED FOR 2:30 ON THURSDAY. WE CAN USE ALL HANDS ON DECK IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP. SET UP IS DIFFERENT FROM COURSE BUILDING. WE WILL BE SETTING UP THE BLINDS AND WORKING ON THE SIGNAGE, ETC.

Good Morning, SchaSam Barn Hunters!

Reminder that entries for our June 7-9 Trial are closed for early entry but we are still taking late entries until May 31!

Judges for this event will be two of our favorites: Scott Andersen and Laurie McGivern. You can be assured that the courses will be great with these guys!

Our new ribbons will be available, and we are excited to debut our new design! You will want to win one! We will have other prizes as well: Judges Choice Awarded on Saturday and Sunday, "SchaSam Sam" Squeeker Awards Saturday and Sunday and rafflle baskets for volunteers.

We will be rocking back to the 50's with a "Grease" theme. Got a poodle skirt? Leather jacket? You'll fit right in!

Happy Monday!

Quick reminder that entries are open for SchaSam Barn Hunt's June Trial!

We will be debuting our beautiful new ribbon designs and colors for RATCH, REMX and HIC at this trial. Judges will be Scott Andersen and Laurie McGivern. We all know they create wonderful courses to play on.

Our theme will be "Grease Is The Word" -- a tribute to the 50's! Poodle skirts, leather jackets and other 50's attire is welcomed. Rockin' and Rollin' and Whatnot is encouraged.

to everyone who came out to our NASDA trials at SchaSam Feld this weekend, THANK YOU for all the positive comments, smiles, laughter and displayed joy while playing with your dogs in the dry and the wet. Bling and Mertz appreciated the rent a handlers (Stella, Nate, and Michael) as did I so all four of my dogs could run, sniff and find. Huge shout out to our judges, Callie Kiehl and Niki G. from Livermore CA. Stay tuned for more trials this summer and fall.

Doggie Yard Sale items for the May NADAC trial 17-19 May include weave bases, jumps, soft and hard sided crates, steps, a Nordic Track rower, fish oil, dog beds, dog toys, dog interactive games, leashes, collars and more.....come run your dog then do some shopping. All proceeds to the Humane Society of Jefferson County!
