Calving season has an officially started for Covey Farms! Yesterday March 15, 2024, mother and daughter each had a heifer! Thelma third heifer she has had. Bunny (08) being Thelma first heifer ever born in 2022 to have her first heifer ever. Everyone say hello to Peaches (15)and Cream(16)!

You know you raise your cattle properly when his dairy heifer got a wart and could not be at the fair so you pull one out of the pasture for him. Ends up getting a first and second with her! So proud of him and her!

New round bale feeder for the herd! It works easier as we can put two round bales in it for them. Plus lots of pictures of the babies and how big they have gotten!

This little heifer finally has a name! Everybody meet Margaret! Margaret got her name after a co-workers wife that my father works with and they have bought eggs from me since I was little. They are like family and they believe in everything I have done and am doing! Plus Thelma and Margaret got to go outside with the herd today!

Big Momma had a tiny bull calf on my sisters birthday. April 17th 2023. She a great mom as she’s older cow and had a couple babies. We waited for a whole year for this baby and we so excited for her!

This week has been busy! Calves are being born left and right!!! Lena had a heifer calf on April 4th! Our first heifer of the year!!! Friday had a bull calf which she rejected him as it’s her first year and she had a hard birth. Friday had her bull calf April 5th! Willow had her bull calf this morning April 7th! Willow was my bottle baby from Ga***rd Auction a couple years ago and I am so proud of her as she’s being such a great mother!!

Our family members, Luke and Amanda Prusakiewicz and their kids lost their home to a fire last night. The family and pets all made it out safely, however they have lost everything else.
