Super excited at how the grays are shaping up! I’ve been working with a small group of breeders this year, but this color is growing on me! One of my breeder boys is a frizzle Silkie for an added bonus to some of these icy babies!

Although we are working with our friends Under the bridge farm on a stellar group of chocolate mottled (and already have tons of beautiful keeper growouts👀), there’s something special about the black mottleds🎲🐄

The Typey boy over this pen is from H and M FARMZ and….. is split to chocolate🍫 Meaning everynow and then a chocolate mottled girl pops out!

Most of the girls are mottled splits from Brenda Smith along with that beautiful full mottled satin from The Melott Hen House

The Chocolate/Chocolate Paint Pen

This pen has my heart, and after DNA testing and culling for the recessive white gene in our chocolates it’s go time for them!

2nd generation Chocolate boy over chocolate, chocolate paint, and black paint girls. Frizzle silkie feathering and showgirls add for extra eye candy from the pen ✨✨ (excuse the bald headed momma that just awoke from broodiness)

A few of the girls are also 2nd generation from us along with girls from Ohcountryboy Farms Hill Country Silkies and Cloverberry Creek Homestead

This semester has been a doozy, but looking forward to hatches like this one is what keeps me going!

My heart will always be with the chocolates and chocolate paints, our mottled pen is throwing some pretty awesome babies, and……. Any guesses on the new color pen we’ve been keeping hush hush?!🫣

A very well respected chicken breeder posted the other day on Facebook about how he gives his hens one last clutch every year to end the breeding season. Kind of like saying good job, thank you for all that you’ve given us this season.🤝

🥵As it gets hotter here in Oklahoma, our girls deserve a break. Not only do they continue to amaze me at how they seem to get even more gorgeous everyday, they’ve also blessed us with bunches of beautiful babies this year. Many of these are in new homes, with wonderful families all over the country. ✈️

🥰We’ve also kept many of their babies that are already turning into BIG babies! Our growout pens are full and our hearts are happy.

👑Our Beauties are having their final clutch of the season in style, then it’s off to pampertown for them!💆‍♀️💆‍♀️
