Everyone says they like the auctions but then when I hold one, no one bids. I might just use the reduction page to post any avail.able rabbits from now on, and I'm not going to offer as many. I'm really burned out dealing with "customers." I don't mean offense to anyone. Most people are wonderful but a few have made me regret any interactions with the outside world. Maybe it would be more peaceful and enjoyable if I just stayed in my own little bunny world. 😥❤️🐰

**So, quick update. My daughter was discharged from hospital on Thursday but that evening she ended up having a very scary episode that we thought at first was a seizure, but ended up being acute dystonia, a reaction to a medication she had received the day before. This week feels like it's been almost too much... 😥
Since we came home early Friday morning from the last incident, she has been feeling much better and things have been uneventful... I am so grateful.
I have responded to those who messaged and waited patiently, but most I have not heard back from now. If you have moved on, that's fine, but I would appreciate an update if you have found rabbits elsewhere or whatever, so I dont waste my time either.
I will be posting descriptions and posting all avail.able rabbits on my auction page with starting bids as soon as I am able.

*I appreciate everyone's patience with the delay in posting updates on the pics of bunnies... as well as responding to messages. I will try to get caught up today, at least with messages. My 13 year old daughter was admitted to the hospital overnight, so the last few days have been rough and just a blur. She is doing MUCH better tho...❤️ I am so relieved.

This little guy is a duplicate of his daddy, River. It's hard to let him go because he is a sweetheart, very friendly and curious and has a lot of potential.
But I have to cut back and that would entail letting go of "duplicates." :-(

Tasha is 👀 for a new 🏡. She is a Sr Broken Black Holland Lop Doe. She's just over a year old.
She had an unfortunate accident when she was about 6 months old, where she broke her hind leg in 2 places, so it had to be amputated. She has been completely healed for several months and has even had a couple litters, although no babies have survived.
She loves treats and attention; on her terms. She is a bit apprehensive with new people, but once u earn her trust, she will make it well worth your efforts! ❤️

Chiffon is a Sr Black VC Doe, proven. She's just about to wean her most recent litter. She's out of Little Rose's Towser, Siamese Sable Buck who won 5th place in the international online Mini Plush Lop show and Love for Lops Monique (Black) She's an excellent mother and very sweet. DOB 11/14/2021
Giselda and Gardenia are sisters, born December 12, 2023. Giselda is a Broken Black Otter VM Doe, and Gardenia is a Silver Marten VM Doe. They both have marbled eyes. They are out of Little Rose's Chloe (Broken Black) and Little Rose's Gerald (Silver Marten VC)
They are currently bonded and housed together but can go to separate homes with no problem.

We are taught not to scruff our rabbits right? Why is that? Because we’re told it damages the skin and can cause it pull away from the muscle, it’s painful to the rabbit and just not the way we’re supposed to carry them.

Yesterday I made a mistake trying to get this buck in the chain to dispatch and process, I definitely needed an extra hand for him as he was a big old breeding buck and heavier than I expected and I didn’t have it, the dog barked and freaked him out so he struggled, I struggled, and to keep him from launching out of my arms I instinctively grabbed him by the scruff and held him to me while I reset the chain. He wasn’t held that way long but even so you can already see the damage it did and the bruising that occurred.

Two lessons learned there yesterday:
1. Make sure to have two people if you’re using the chain method and like me lack coordination for those larger rabbits. I have no issues with the usual 12-16 week rabbits but those big 10+lb ones are hard for me to maneuver.
2. Don’t scruff your rabbits. We all make mistakes, but as much as you can try to handle them a different way that’s more gentle on them.

Before you complain about a breeders pricing, the cost of rabbits, etc , try to take in to account the cost to get those babies on the ground and in a condition to where it can be sold or shown. The cost to feed and maintain a quality rabbits, the cost to feed and maintain the rabbitry, purchase price of those animals, medicine, feed, water, supplements when needed, new AC units, entry fees, etc. I personally do not negotiate with breeders when buying an animal, if I can’t afford what they are trying to sell me or think their price is too high I politely say thank you that’s a bit out of my budget. It costs a lot of money to raise these animals, don’t cut yourself short and don’t expect a breeder to do the same. Build a relationship/partnership with a breeder, promote them, learn from them! And most of all if you win a purchased rabbit give that breeder a shout out when you post your wins.
