While mowing the lawn the other day I accidentally ran over a 🐰 den. A lil bunny ran out. Later that night I saw Callie & KitKat were playing with something, I assumed a mouse. Upon further inspection, it was this lil cutie 😍 It has since been taken back home 🥹

TSC has a minimum of 4 chicks…
I went for the Midnight Majesty Marans… but they only had two left … so I HAD to pick up two more Banties!
Then I HAD to check out the other local TSC … and I HAD to get … more! 🤫

It’s been a busy day of smoking, grilling, and cooking here at Roots, Hearts, and Wings!

Started the morning off by seasoning my grill griddle with onions. Decided to throw 14 chicken breasts on the griddle.
Smoked 40 small breasts.
Fried some bacon to season it more.
Had 🐷 grease, can’t let that go to waste 😝 Fried some taters with onion.
Finished the evening making some food for the community.
This morning I gifted two folks two servings of smoked chicken, fried potatoes, & four cans of veggies each.
I introduced 3 people to (homemade) White Castle Sliders. Also included baked beans, homemade pasta salad, homemade fresh fruit salad, and corn on the cob.
I also introduced 6 folks down here to Koegel’s Natural Casing Hot Dogs.

It’s been a very long, hot, eventful day. But it kept my mind off things I have to stop stressing about, that are out of my control.
I got outside, did something I love, enjoyed the beautiful day, exercised my mind, body, & soul, and wore myself out. I’m gonna sleep so great tonight.

I planted 70 cloves of Garlic 🧄 01/10/24 (better late than never, right?)
Pulled a medium sized one to see how they were doing. Not too bad. Will harvest around 4th of July 🇺🇸
