I took our fur babies to their yearly checkup yesterday! I am always so happy about the service that All Creatures Animal Hospital of South Hill provides to my pups while we are there. They never disappoint or make my animals uncomfortable at any point. River can be a little sensitive with being held by strangers but the vet tech was so patient and kept talking to him the entire time to reinsure him that he was okay. Callie, she’s a breeze, that girl doesn’t care if you carry her over your shoulders up a mountain. I will ALWAYS AND FOREVER recommend anyone to them, I’ve been going to this vet for almost fifteen years now and we will never go anywhere else. We also take our kitties here, they are wonderful and if you’re looking for a new vet, I highly recommend them!

Congratulations to Millie who completed her two week board and train!
When Millie first came to stay with us, she couldn’t walk gently on a leash, she was reactive, and couldn’t hold a sit or eye contact for more than just a few seconds.
Now, Millie is starting her training to become a search and rescue dog, she’s on to bigger and better things!

*******LUNA HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS SAFE AT HOME*********

Luna is missing in the Shelton area! She’s been missing since Wednesday the 11th in the late evening. We spent hours looking for her today, along with her mom looking for her last night and continuing the search currently. She was last seen on Eleanor st, she’s been roaming the cascadia area of Shelton. Please be on the lookout for her, DO NOT CHASE HER. If you see her, please message me and I’ll let her mom know asap.

Hey everyone! We have three more spots available for holiday boarding!
First dog is $50 a night and any additional dogs are $25 a night!

We have a fully fenced half acre property, with a fully heated and air conditioned kennel room. Your pups will be out majority of the day running around and playing with my personal pack and other boarding dogs. We do our best to pride ourselves by being different and not leaving dogs in kennels for longer than an hour or two max a day. (Not including bedtime) We do our absolute best to treat your pups like family during their stay with us.

Mr. Finn staying on place on his favorite rock. He’s come along way with training over the last year, but unfortunately he was recently attacked by a German shepherd and now has a bit of aggression and reactivity. No problem though, his weekly classes he’s taking with us is helping to give him and his parent the confidence to work through those obstacles!

The man I base majority of my training from, he only speaks the truth🙌🏼🙌🏼

The theme I see over and over with owners who are successful with challenging dogs isn’t masterful timing, perfect mechanics, and an exquisite read on their dogs. The theme I see is a mindset of: “No way. This will not stand. This will not continue. I will not put up with this.”

This mindset is what creates the foundation for creating a believable human presence, a crystal clear social hierarchy, and a dog who responds to these with their best.

This mindset also fuels the effort and sacrifices needed to better improve timing, mechanics, and read. Which all help—but the mastery or perfection of which isn’t necessary. The relationship dynamics and the dog’s perception of the owner override the necessity of masterful, or perfect ex*****on.

In other words, the right mindset—a fiercely determined, un-f**k-with-able human—is the foundation everything else builds off of. And without it, nothing else works. And with it, perfection, which is of course unobtainable anyway, is unnecessary.

PS, this isn’t encouragement to be sloppy, lazy, or a bully. It’s a reminder that your dog’s perception of you as a believable (and of course fair) authority figure is more valuable than many of the technical aspects that are regularly presented as the most critical pieces of the dog training success puzzle.

PPS, many won’t like hearing this. But reality isn’t much concerned with our preferred version of its presentation.

Look at Pebbles and Strudel rocking their dual duration down with phenomenal eye contact. Their moms didn’t think this would be possible, but with a little patients and proper guidance, you and your dogs can do anything!

Do you and a family member or friend have dogs that are always together and seem to think they run the show when they’re together? No problem! Training two dogs in the same session is no problem, I’ll also make sure that both dogs respond well to both handlers working with them.

Callie is hiking season ready! This is a dog pack from Wilderdog, Callie is a size medium and her pack can carry up to eight liters total.
Callie is about 45 pounds, but dogs shouldn’t carry anymore than 10% of their body weight.
She’ll be carrying her food and dishes on our hikes this summer, takes a couple pounds out of my pack!

Good job Kahleesi! Six months ago, Kahlessi’s parents would’ve said that walking her next to another dog would’ve been impossible but with the right training and parent dedication anything is absolutely possible. You can see my gentle corrections while we walk, just guiding her slightly back behind my stride. Kahleesi was once dog aggressive the moment she knew another dog was around, now she’s walking right beside my personal GSD without reacting. We still have some confidence building to do with her, but in the mean time, she’s doing phenomenal.

No dogs behavior isn’t workable, with the right training, dedication, and right tools, anything is possible. Kahleesi is living proof of this.

Took my personal GSD to Petpalooza today, he did phenomenal weaving through the crowds with me. Not to meantion how patient he was with me while I was talking with other local businesses and rescues. He received many head and butt scratches today!(butt scratches are his favorite) Thank you to the many folks that chatted with me and were so gracious towards wanting to help support my business, we appreciate every last one of you so much! I hope we can make some long lasting partnerships and hopefully welcome some new clientele!

Here are my two pups patiently waiting in the back of my mini truck, I’m so proud of these two for how well they behaved over the weekend. Lots of people, children, dogs and very loud cars, I couldn’t have asked for a better pair of fur children to be mine

I’d also like to say thank you to everyone for their patience with me not responding to messages this weekend, we have been very busy since Thursday evening. I’ll be responding to all messages first thing tomorrow morning.

Welcome to Taco(ma)!
This is Kahleesi the Husky, we’ve been working together for about six months now. When I first met Kahleesi she was severely dog aggressive and reactive, so with some training and slight changes in her day to day life, Kahleesi is a down right good girl now!

At PNW Precision K9, we believe that every dog is a good dog, just with a little guidance in the right direction. No such thing as a bad dog! We could all use a little help and guidance in our day to day lives.
