“My wife and I are 85 years old and are very active. We have had dogs our whole married life and adore our Hallie. We have always adopted rescues and Hallie is no different. She has been a great companion for us and can’t image not having her around. She loved her walks every day to socialize with the neighbors and their dogs. Currently, she is unable to take those walks because of her knee situation. She is only 7 years old and still has a lot of life to live.

Our income is limited and the surgery/surgeries are very expensive; much more than we imagined. The prognosis is very good for rehab and leg use again… It would mean the world to us if we are able to receive help from Frankie’s Friends National Fund. I am sure you have more requests than you can process but we are truly blessed to have Hallie and would like to have her around as long as possible. In the event that something happens to my wife and I, my daughter will step in and care for her the rest of her life. Our daughter loves animals and has her own as well as fosters for a rescue.”

We believe pets are part of the family and help us live longer, happier lives. Please donate today so we can help families like Hallie’s when they need us most. Keeping pets and people together, that’s what we’re all about.

“Eight years ago, I fostered a litter of kittens only 4 days old. Kumar was one of them and has been part of our family ever since. He turned out to be much more than just a cat over these past eight years including supporting his special needs kitty sister, supporting me through six months of chemotherapy (see picture) as my family was all out of state…

Through the trauma I’ve been through the past few years, Kumar has been key in helping reduce my own mental health symptoms and just knowing when to be by my side when I need him. It may sound dramatic, but there are days when he and his siblings are the only thing that get me out of bed in the morning.

Thank you for considering financially supporting Kumar so he can serve both humans and other animals for many years to come. He is beyond family.”

Kumar needed lifesaving emergency surgery for a urinary blockage, treatment his family could not afford. With your help, Frankie’s Friends can give the financial support Kumar’s family and so many others to help save their beloved pets’ lives. Please donate today.

“Me and Buddy-Love would be ever so grateful for a chance to live out the rest of his life with his family… Even with one eye he could still be able to do those things again and live a normal healthy life, and he wouldn’t be able to do without the assistance from wonderful, caring, pet people like you! I will always keep in touch and gladly send pictures all the time of him and his recovery and afterwards for his lifetime 🩷 I thank you all kindly for any assistance and support he can get at this time.”

“Prior to Shiloh getting sick, she loved hiking, chasing squirrels and tracking moles. The love of her is amazing. With her only being 6 years young I know she has so much more joy and excitement left to experience in this world. With help from you she will continue to live her life to the fullest. The appreciation for you helping with this amazing girl would impact myself and all my family and friends. Also Shiloh says thank you so very much”— Shiloh's Family

Shiloh was diagnosed with a brain tumor and needed radiation therapy to save her life, treatment her family couldn't afford. With the support of our donors, Frankie's Friends was able to provide them with a financial assistance grant so Shiloh could receive the care needed to save her life. Please donate today to help pets in need of lifesaving veterinary care, like Shiloh.

Asheville Humane Society said, “We are on week two of our Affordable Pet Care Clinic. Everyone has been affected by the hurricane in some way. Folks have lost their homes, cars, belongings, jobs. Beyond material things - it can be hard to find bright spots.”
With the support of our donors, Frankie's Friends reached out and sponsored the first 60 urgent care appointments.
“As clients walked up to pay and were told Frankie’s Friends had footed the bill, the happiness and relief was palpable. Many people had prioritized their pet’s needs over their own, and knowing they now had a little extra to care for themselves meant the world…

Thank you for your continued support of our mission to keep animals and their people safe, healthy, happy, and together.”

Another incredible example of your donations at work. Because of our amazing donors, we were able to help contribute to the cost of the emergency veterinary care needed to save Bubbles’ life after his family was impacted by Hurricane Helene. We’re so honored to be able to help pets like Bubbles when they need it most, and to work with phenomenal veterinary providers like DEGA Mobile Veterinary Care.

Tadpole’s family lives in Asheville, NC and lost everything in Hurricane Helene. Unfortunately, Tadpole struggled to escape the flood waters during the storm and was helped by a neighbor to get upstairs to safety. You see, Tadpole was born with severely luxated elbows and was surrendered by his breeder to a shelter that worried his medical needs were too great and planned to humanely euthanize him. Instead, Hope Animal Rescue scooped him up and although it was determined that his legs couldn’t be fixed, they could help redirect his elbows to make it easier for him to walk until he would need a wheelchair. Thanks to their interventions, Tadpole can walk...poorly, but he can walk. Escaping the flood of the hurricane proved difficult for Tadpole and a few weeks later, he suffered a severe complication in his legs, compromising his walking.

Tadpole needed urgent medical care and Frankie’s Friends happily sponsored the cost of Tadpole’s exam through the partnership with The Asheville Humane Society’s low cost clinic. He received the treatment he needed and days later, he was back to his normal “wonky” walking, without causing additional financial strain on his family.

They said, “I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your kindness. My dog with a severe leg deformity received an exam because of you! We lost everything (house, cars, belongings) in the flood. So thank you on a very personal note!”

Thank you to everyone that contributed to our disaster relief efforts so together we can help pets in need of veterinary care, like Tadpole.

Another amazing example of how we can help save pets’ lives when we work together. Thank you to everyone that donates to our foundation so we can help pets like Fendi through our Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program.

Fendi update!!!

We just heard from Dr. Winkler that Fendi is out of surgery! He went in for a cystostomy and urethrostomy. We also learned that both his bladder and urethra were damaged by blockage and inflammation, and that he will need to spend another couple of weeks with a catheter — by keeping his bladder empty, the catheter will be giving him the best chance of uneventful recovery. He will be coming to foster care in a day or two, and will be on crate rest for two weeks. We can’t wait to have him with us, and we know that everyone at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital Mount Laurel will miss him! Everyone who met Fendi loved him, and we heard from doctors, nurses, and the front desk staff about what a good boy he is. And as you can see from the pictures, he is loving the attention!

We also wanted to say thank you to everyone who donated towards his surgery! And we especially wanted to thank Frankie's Friends, a wonderful organization that helps rescue (and owned!) pets with emergency medical bills. We greatly appreciate their contribution of $2000 towards Fendi’s treatment, and their quick responses and kindness.

Bo was facing a life-threatening illness and needed emergency surgery to save her life. Unfortunately the cost of this care was beyond the means of her loving family who reached out to Frankie’s Friends for help. With your support, we were able to offer the financial assistance necessary for Bo to receive lifesaving veterinary care. Her family said, “Thank you for helping save the peace maker in our family. Bo has been a great part of our lives and my children are so attached to her. If anything were to happen to where we lost her, we’d have to find healing for as many years as we loved her.” Keeping pets and people together, that’s what we’re all about.

Starting tomorrow, the Asheville Humane Society is offering an Afforable Pet Care Clinic for pets affected by the recent hurricanes. However, with the support of our amazing donors, Frankie’s Friends is happily sponsoring the cost of urgent care exams for the first 60 patients so those in need of veterinary care for their pets and were impacted by the devastating storms can have their pets seen for FREE.

With your support, those pet families won’t have to worry about how they’ll pay the bill to have their pets seen and treated in the aftermath. Spread the word, tell anyone in need. Together we can help save pets’ lives.

Please consider a donation of $35 or more to cover the cost of an urgent care exam for pets in western North Carolina. For the pets.

The Peace River Wildlife Center - PRWC was already undergoing mitigation following Hurricane Helene when they took a direct hit from Hurricane Milton. They have been a staple in their community for decades and treat thousands of animals every year. As a result of the storms, their veterinary hospital and sanctuary is now closed and unable to house or treat injured animals. Thanks to our incredible donors, Frankie's Friends was able to make a donation towards their recovery efforts.

Their staff said, "Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation. We will be certain to designate these funds to our Hurricane recovery and medical equipment/supplies. We lost nearly all of our equipment and medications. Last year we admitted 2,375 patients. This year to date we have admitted 2,174. We also house approximately 80 non-releasable wildlife residents at our education center. Your support will go a long way in helping us put things back together so that we can get back to caring for the wildlife needs in our community."

Please consider donating directly to the PRWC, or to our disaster relief efforts as we continue to support animal organizations in need.

Today we made our first disaster relief grant following Hurricane Milton that has devastated so much of the state of Florida, only 2 weeks after the impact of Hurricane Helene. This sanctuary sustained so much damage and desperately needed support to replenish the supplies they lost to keep the 159 animals in their care safe. We were happy to match the donation of $1,000 from Ziggy's Refuge Farm Sanctuary to help Love Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. during this incredibly difficult time. Please consider donating directly to Love Life Animal Rescue, or to our disaster relief efforts as we continue to support families, rescues, and shelters that were impacted by the two recent storms.

While Frankie’s Friends is a national organization, we are based out of Tampa, FL and some of our team members were directly impacted by Hurricane Milton. If you know of a family, rescue or shelter that was impacted by the two recent major hurricanes and needs help providing veterinary care, please reach out, visit our website, or tag them in the comments below. We’re here to help, we’re in this together. For the pets.
